    Pros +

    • Free parking and staff were lovely
    • Rooms are basic, clean and just what’s needed for a comfortable stay. Fridge in the room is a nice touch. Bed was really comfortable. The hotel has obviously been upgraded and we would most definitely stay here again. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a drink at the bar of the Boko restaurant within the hotel. Great music and atmosphere.
    • The bed was comfy and it was clean plus nice location

    Cons -

    • The room I first checked into was full of smoke from someone smoking cigarettes. The second room was cold, hard spring bed and other guests made loud noise throughout the night in the corridors
    • You do need to ask for tea/ coffee etc as it’s not automatically in the room but that’s not a problem at all. The car park tends to fill up in the evening as there’s also a popular restaurant onsite.
    • We had no tea, coffee or milk, I had to ask for more, we only had one cup and one towel, I had to ask for extra and the TV didn't work, we told them at reception and they just said they'd got no one on site to fix it

It was very modern and felt like we was in a different country

the wifi was barely working and it was very cold in the room

When I left to get another taxi to take me home

The room was roasting hot, the bed was so uncomfortable, the room and hotel stank of weed, the room was so noisy, windows hardly opened, no tea, water, no coffee or milk to even make a drink. We arrived at 9pm and left before 1am and I want a full refund thanks asap.

The accessible room was large and well appointed with a large bathroom featuring walk in shower and proper grab rails at the higher than usual toilet, the sink and the shower. Perfect for my needs. The bed was extremely comfortable.

We didn’t see any special parking spaces for disabled guests ( they may have been occupied or elsewhere) but we managed to park in places where we could open doors wide and manoeuvre the wheelchair, even when there was a wedding on. The room was very hot ( heater set at 29 !) but easily sorted, we couldn’t work the TV but could have asked for help.

The location could have been better as it is situated off a dual carriage way which means you drive onto a one way road which means you have to drive in the opposite way you want to go until you come to a roundabout to turn round. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. What was on offer was poorly displayed with paper cups for your hot drinks from a machine that only offered half the drinks that it was capable of offering. i.e. no latte. The bread that was on offer for toasting was stale and one sliced loaf I gave back to the member of staff because it had green mold on it. I had the full English breakfast which was awful with the bacon rigged as a board like trying to eat a biscuit I was so disappointed.I did find the reception staff very nice and helpful.

We were unable to get any TV stations on the television in our room and there were no instructions that might have helped us, we did inform the reception staff the following day.The hotel forecourt was like an ice rink to walk on as it was wet and I did manage to slip over in front of two of the hotel staff.

Parking spaces are limited due to the hotel having several events on, but we got to park eventually.

    Theft

Its a real shame my very expensive scarf was left in the room , and sadly taken , I left the Hotel and as I got onto the A127 I realised that I had left my scarf in the room , I called the Hotel later that day and they said they would check and call me back , this never happened , I called again and they did call me back saying it hadn't been found , so clearly it was stolen by someone with room access. What a shame beware of leaving anythinc of value

    Pleasant

There is no tea or coffee provided in the room, kettle and cups, but no spoons...

    8JoanPosted on: 1-25-2026

The price was good perfect for a one night stay. We attended a wedding nearby. Breakfast is offered at extra cost, not part of the hotel, but by the restaurant in the hotel. Personally, I wouldn't bother as It was a really poor breakfast for £12.99

The hotel was fine for the price, not the best, but not the worst either. The staff was very good

A little run down outside with an impressive entrance facade which depicts the ‘resort feel’ that they seem to be trying to achieve. The sign has ‘a & l’ missing in ‘palms’, so that says it all.Inside is very clean and well looked after with no real problems.

I like the interior. My room was an executive double. Very comfortable indeed. The bed was very large. If you have three small children, I would recommend this room simply for the bed. It comfortably sleep three under ten year olds.

The lobby was lovely and the room was nice enough and the staff in the restaurant were lovely.

The WiFi was pretty bad and nothing was done about the noisy guests walking around the hotel in the middle of the night.

Very clean, stunning bar and restaurant area

Not able to contact reception from room (no phone). We had a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee etc. We had to find a member of staff to get some coffee and milk etc. However, the staff were happy to provide this when asked for it.

    It was peaceful

Cleanliness can be improved .. room carpet had crumbs & droppings the first day we walked in

    5MariePosted on: 1-16-2026

    It was clean and convenient

No water pressure for a decent shower I was moved to a different due to no kettle and the room was freezing Had to go to reception to get coffees and milk

The location was good for a function we was attending

Noisy and could hear a commotion & shouting from other guests. The decor is also a bit tacky

    Good location and clean

Very noisy neighbours. Wish security were present
