Pros +
- The staff was very helpful and kind. Best hospitality.
- The hotel is clean and in a great location.
- Location was great Bedding and bathroom was clean
Cons -
- Too many steps to climb with luggage. No phone to communicate with management
- It's a tad loud but I expected that because it's an older building in a popular location.
- Blood stain on mattress above me in the bunkbed. 1/2 inch of dust beside the wardrobe. Most staff members were kind but one was extremely rude Requested a double bed which said "sleeps up to 2" and received 2 bunkbeds.

Location...High-Speed Internet
good location, small rooms but well heated and clean
The location was good and the staff was nice. They allow luggage storage for free on the days of the check in and check out.
We got a room in the basement, it smelled horrible like someone had smoked in the hallway. It was full of dust because one of my friends with allergies had a horrible allergic reaction. There wasn’t enough towels in the bathroom and we didn’t have a remote control for the TV. Every time the subway passed the whole room shaked (it didn’t bother us but is worth to mention).
Excellent location close to Paddington station and an easy walk to Hyde Park. Reception staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed.
Location
Some items not available like toothpaste iron welcome water bottle after long exhausting journey
It is very well located just 3 min walking away from Paddington Station which makes it very accessible for metro and bus. Breakfast is good and well served
Single room can be pretty small, bathroom can be uncomfortable for tall people (Im 1.74cm) and the water is always getting out of the shower. It can be difficult access to upper floors without elevator and the rug smells and feels kinda dirty around the place. If you have a light sleep this is not the place for you because you can always hear the metro moving. Also some things in the room are dirty and dusted
Great when travelling and trying to catch an early train. The room was basic but just what I needed for this very short stay
Great location. Friendly staff.
Cockroaches
The beds were comfortable but the room was a tight squeeze. The location is perfect with Paddington station less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel and several cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants right around the corner. The bathroom was tiny and there isn’t any air conditioning…but it wasn’t too warm and a fan is provided. It’s a good deal.
The size of the room and no ac
Great location, near Paddington station and the street is pretty calm. The price was good considering it's London. And besides it's a hostel, the private room with bathroom was a pretty good stay.
Expect small bathroom, but it's ok
The breakfast was good: scrambled eggs, hardboiled eggs, fruit juices, toast, fresh and canned fruit,i sliced cheese and cold cut, cereal, yogurt, etc. Room was on ground floor as requested. Kind staff. Private shower, toilet, and wash basin. TV.Good location: close to Paddington underground and rail. Close to HSBC ATM on Praed St. An oscillating table fan in room.Clean room. Clothes hangers in closet. Daily house cleaning. Small city park outside.
Room was small. One bath towel provided: no face towel. Can hear the rumble of the subway trains underneath. No lift. Tap water non potable.
The location is nice; there's lots to see in the Paddington area. Lots of bakeries and a food hall 3 min away (walking)
No elevators, so it wasn't fun carrying my heavy suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. Also, no AC.
The Staff are all kind, lovely people. I love efficiency, and the room design is excellent. A single is not large, but they manage to get a kettle (cord too short) and a refrigerator, as well as a hanging space. If the bed were better I would never consider staying elsewhere.
The bed....soft, squishy and not good.
The location to Paddington Station is always a bonus (I'm really loving the whole Norfolk Square area), the bed was so comfy, and the view was fabulous (even if there was construction work). It was great having a private bathroom, even if it was tiny, and having shower gel to use freely; it was also literally a 1 minute walk to a wonderful sit-in fish and chip shop. Also, they were able to store my bags for a day, which I appreciate.
The lack of elevator was really disappointing, being on the 2nd floor, and being in a separate building to the main hotel was unusual. The shower wasn't that good as it was the old-fashioned hot and cold tap, which I just couldn't work for a good temperature, and dripped when not on, not to mention a massive step up to the bathroom itself. I also only had one towel - a bath towel - and no hand towel or floor mats for the shower.
Value for money. Close to rail links
Room is a little small but expected for the cost
The staff was very nice
The breakfast was very simple, and there were not many choices of food.
The hotel is easily reachable from Paddington station and, at the same time, is located in a quiet place allowing night rest. The metro was audible in my room but did not disturb me much. The room was very small but tidy and clean, with all the necessary toiletrists, except soap. The breakfast was good, with a very nice smiley service that was very appreciated.
The douche was old giving eithet too hot or too cold water. The whole bathroom was quite outdated but functional. The wi-fi in my room was extremely slow (it took 10 minutes to download a 2 Mb file). The stairs are lengthy and high, which might be problematic for people with knee problems.
