Athena Hotel

Lovely spot in Paddington with lots of great restaurants in the area. Very handy for the underground and travelling to Heathrow. Beds very comfortable. Lovely buffet breakfast.

Everything was spotless, comfortable and friendly. Location was great, too.

In close proximity to Paddington Station. Lots of restaurants and the Regent’s Park in easy walking didtance.Nothing luxurious, but all we were needing for a couple of nights in central London. Very friendly and service minded staff. We got upgraded to a better room free of charge. We would definately stay at Hotel Athena again when needing a central London hotel.

First of all, we arrived very early for check-in. The girl at the reception, with her wonderful sense of humor, welcomed us and did everything she could to provide us with the room within an hour, even though normally we wouldn’t have had it for another seven hours. The room was clean, and the cleaning lady came in every day and took great care of us. There was also an elevator, which accommodations like this usually don’t have. The location is very good, close to the metro, so you have easy access to everywhere. I highly recommend it.

Near Paddington station. Bathroom is refurbished and there was no carpet in the room.

The room was small for 4 people and there was only one sink in the bathroom. The mattress wasn't very comfortable.

Everything I needed was there and available plus when I asked for some spare milks to make a cup of tea the staff member was more than obliging and very helpful. Everyone was helpful and polite. It was a pleasure to stay. Breakfast was tasty and easy to find what we wanted. The room was small but laid out well and clean so I was more than satisfied! The bed was (although quite short - don’t expect to fit if you are more than 6’) comfortable and had spare pillows.

Nice position. Nice cleaning service everyday. Nice staffs. Perfect family friendly ground floor room. Will do visit again and recommend to other family group to visit.

Location was very good . Less than 5 minute walk from Paddington station. Male on reception was helpful and organised wake up call

Rooms are small (but expected in London). So space is limited. Bed was small.

The window would not lock/secure in a minimum open position so we had to close it whenever we left the room and it would be warm/hot when we returned.

Perfect location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. We would certainly like to return.

I didn't like the mattress. Cleanliness was ok, but we asked for two poorly washed towels to be changed.

Nothing, for the price we paid, we were really satisfied

Great price and great location 5 minutes from Paddington Station. There were also plenty of restaurants and food shops close by. The room was small but clean and they had in room tea/coffee and a safe. It’s located on a fairly quiet street as well.

The safe was wired in on the floor at the back of the closet requiring me to crawl in every time I needed to put something in.

Loved our stay here, I am always hesitant about a -1 level room where your window is below the street. So that may have influenced my review. The place was great, I wish we were able to stay on a 1-3 level floor!

The location is perfect! Beds were comfortable. A great place to stay if you are doing tourism.

If I have to say something, maybe it would be great to have more options of eggs for breakfast.

The staff were welcoming and provided excellent recommendations for nearby dining. We especially enjoyed the fish and chips at The Victoria pub, and the Mughal's Indian Restaurant (Paddington) was delicious (reservations are a must). The breakfast at the hotel was very good, and the location was great.

As first-time visitors to London with only two days to explore, we would have greatly appreciated more guidance from the staff. For example, basic information about navigating the Tube (subway system) would have been extremely helpful and could have saved us a significant amount of time. Additionally, assistance with restaurant and activity reservations would have enhanced our overall experience.

The breakfast was great value for money. Location was within walking distance to most local attractions, transport including the Heathrow Express and restaurants. Staff was fantastic and very friendly.

We only stayed one night, as a quick stop before flying. Close to Paddington station.

Very tight for 5 people, would not do it for any longer than that.
