Wombat's City Hostel London

The staff are so friendly and helpful. I felt safe during my stay there and liked the hostel atmosphere. The location is also good as it is close to several attractions and not far away from several tube stations. I would definitely come back again.

The room was not fully cleaned. There was dust under the bed and in the corner. The toilet had a weird smell after it was cleaned. I guess the cleaning process could be improved. My pillow was not comfortable as it was too low. After my first night, I woke up with my neck hurting. I started to place my jacket underneath to to sleep a bit more comfortably. Other than that, the place is great.

Very hot inside the rooms, hotter than outside. Washing machines that charge you twice the amount. 1 elevator out of 2 that worked during the whole stay, which is insufficient given the size of the Hostel.

It was the best stay in london. It exceeded my expectation. I will book again from this hostel ince i come back to london. They even let me check in early at 10am so i was soo soo happy and grateful . Thanks to the staff who let me checked in early.

They dont have socket inside the room near to toilet or sink to i can use my own hair dryer to straightener. U have to go down near to the reception to be able to use the hair dryer

I really like the facility. Rooms are clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well-equipped. Staff was really polite and helpful. Overall, the experience was really good and absolute value for money.

I faced an issue with the locker, the battery of which ran out one morning. Thankfully, I had nothing urgent inside of the locker, but could have been a problem if I was checking out. Staff, however, were kind enough to take prompt action and the locker was functional by the time I reached back at night. Another small concern was the cleanliness in the common kitchen, for which, I can't completely blame the management. However, equipments such as the electric kettle could be cleaned regularly.

The property is big enough, it’s modern, it’s clean. The staff was nice, they have their own coffee place, which is also comfortable. In case needed they have the kitchen with basic supplies and even pans etc. For me that was something “extra”, but very comfortable. The rooms are clean, shower and the toilet are separated inside rooms, which is also very very comfy. Out of all the hostels I have been around Europe I found this one as the most comfortable and clean. they have safe, where you can plug your phone to charge and leave inside, curtains and a small light to not to disturb others.

All the staff were very nice - so patient, helpful and friendly. It was my first time travelling alone and staying in London, and the hostel made me feel so comfortable. I wiil always be grateful! ❤️

Everything from the facilities, to the cleanliness, to the staff was fantastic. I didn’t have breakfast but I can imagine it’s lovely as well. Location and price wise I can’t recommend this hostel enough, I don’t think you can find cheaper in central London. This is the second time I’ve stayed in Wombats and probably will again in the future. Thank you all!

It’s near to the Tube station and safe. They have locker in every bed

Comfortable rooms, showers and toilets are separate and both inside the room, great space, enough for everyone in the room, clean and neat, helpful and kind staff, great sharing room, kitchen and bar. You will have everything you need in a hostel. I will choose to stay here again when I come to London.

A bit far away from the center of London. Need to use the transportation every time. The bus and metro station are 10 minutes away But still I didn’t find that very difficult

10-min walk from closest tube station (Tower Hill). Super great locker system in the rooms and wonderful bunk privacy. Plenty of spots to hang out.

I stayed in a 6-female room and there's one bathroom and shower inside and a separate sink. That was fine when there are only a couple of girls but when all 6 spots are filled, it's very inconvenient. You have to pay for luggage storage before/after check-in which I always think it ridiculous.

Friendly staff. I enjoyed the common area a lot. The cafe was nice.

The lift was out of order on 5 of the 6 days I stayed there?

Near the station and bus stops. The room is large and clean.

The elevator failed to operate. They charge for leaving the luggage even when you have bookings there. Not sure they provide cookware to cook ourselves.

Line for checkin on a Tuesday was about 30 people and had to wait until 2pm even though I'm sure beds were available earlier. Have to make your own bed and return linens/pillow sheet. Elevator horribly slow. At least 10 min walk from metro

The location was very good. The rooms were excellent, and the toilets and showers were great. The lockers were spacious, and there were plenty of outlets available to charge our devices.

It was quite hot during the night, and when I tried to turn on the small fan provided for each bed, I noticed it was completely covered in dust. This immediately triggered my rhinitis, causing my nose to become blocked and affecting my ears as well, as I’m very allergic. I informed the reception, since it was clear the fan hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

Great location, close to train and bus stations. The security lock and fan on each bed I found them amazing, hasn’t seen that in any previous hostel and were super convenient. Also the lockers are big and feel very safe. The toilet and shower are very spacious and nice, having them inside the room is definitely a plus.

I think the toilet/shower wasn’t cleaned frequently enough, 2 times per day would be good for a shared room. The refrigerators in the kitchen were a total mess.

I have been staying in wombats city hostels since 2024. I stayed in munich many times Austria 1 time & now london 1 time. It's awesome.

The only thing that they should improve the breakfast quality & add few more things in it.
