Town Hall Hotel - East London

We LOVE the Town Hall and after several visits cannot imagine staying anywhere else in London. The staff are incredibly kind, Elis restaurant is incredible and the rooms so spacious and comfortable.

The history, amenities (coffee machine), great toiletries, nice pool, spacious room, lovely bathtub, good comfortable bed.

Little wear and tear in the rooms, cracks showing and could do with a good deep clean.

Amazing rooms, lovely pool, friendly staff and beautiful building!

Rooms on lower ground floor can get a bit dark at times

It was clean and nicely decorated with a lovely indoor pool

The only thing was that my room wasnot super quiet as it was facing an area destined to unloading/loading of vans

nothing except that two out of five persons at the desk were not arrogant and downright rude

Staff was rude while checking out. They added $60 for late checkout by an hour. The phone in the room does not work. Pathetic furniture. Beggars and suspicious characters on street outside. Heard police sirens followed by yelling and gunshots one night.

Indoor swimming pool is very nasty as hair and mayfly floating on the water. do not drink sparkling water as compliment in your refrigerator I was very shocked when I found a bug inside glass after drink water. I want to report it to health authority. it

Really cool building and both restaurants are excellent with The Typing Room being one of the very best in the UK.

Rooms were very nice

Spoke w/ desk to plan Tube trip from the hotel to Heathrow airport for how long. Told them my flight was at 9:00am on Sunday but they never told us that the Tube didn't open until 7:00am so we had to walk thru city for an hour w/ luggage till Tube opened.

Staff was great ! Room cleaning was perfect they even put our dishes away!

Loved everything location was a little off from some things we were doing but can't help that

The hotel exudes a very homey, but modern feel. The mid-century furniture made me feel like I'm in my own apartment (back in Brooklyn) and that is a great feel for a 2 week business stay. Also got ill and concierge kindly heat food for me per request.

The back of the hotel didn't have the best views and if you openned your windows overnight you might get woken up by sanitation department.

The history of the hotel.

Mostly everything this is more like a four star hotel at its highest. The air conditioning wouldn't come on unless I called reception. The rooms were extremely hot and they actual would be shut off around midnight.
