- Location and reasonable price
Cons -
- There was no air conditioning and it felt hot and stuffy even with the window open and a fan blowing. Breakfast was expensive, especially compared to the dinners. The beds are very firm.
- Floor sloped, bed was uncomfortable. Knocked my head on wall cupboard that contains the tea kettle and cups.

The location and a terrific staff
Lack of air conditioning
Very nice place, great location. Large room. Friendly staff.
The hotel ist situated in Bloomsbury in a surprisingly quiet street. Holborn tube station is only 5 Minutes away, which makes it a perfect location for us. The interior of the reception area and the room are ok, but look a little dated.
We got a room on the third floor: 302! What we did not consider was that there was no AC. Only a little fan that blew the hot air from one corner to another. It was like an oven. 28 degrees! After 3 days we looked like zombies!
There was no A/C in the room. At night, the room was intolerably hot. Wi-Fi was very poor. The room was outdated with stained carpets. I left early despite pre-paying.
The stuff we're helpful and the location is pretty good(5 minutes from the tube)
The rooms are very very small... Almost no place for luggage.
The location was terrific. Could walk to evening plays, lots of food around. Close to train stations and tube. Very quiet. Close to British Library and British Museum.
Our room was a bit cool. It was a basement room, so not much of a view out of it.
Location - although the tube was a bit of a walk
Nothing that I didn't like, although the room was very misrepresented in the photos so our expectations were higher.
Location
The bed was not comfortable
Location to venue
ÃÂã23 for an English breakfast. ÃÂã--- cost was not value for money.
Great value for money and fantastic location near British Museum and downtown (a bit of a walk from the tube station). Lobby area was welcoming and cozy around Christmas time.
Water pressure was weak in the shower, room was quite cold. Carpet and furniture a bit worn down. We had requested a room facing the garden but they were not able to accommodate that.
Good location and very clean
Although breakfast was included, cooked was extra £5 each which is good value but would have been better if made clear at point of booking.
The staff was really helpful and nice. When I initially got a very small room (smallest in the hotel), and got in late they were completely booked, the next day they gave me a bigger room, which was fine.
The room I got, their smallest in the hotel was claustrophobically small. The staff was very understanding. I needed to iron my shirt, but the room did not have any but the reception gave me and iron and plank so could get out crisp.
The hotel’s location is perfect, close to everything. The hotel staff are kind and helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. This is already my third time staying at this hotel, and I will definitely come back again
I can’t say enough about how great the staff is here. The location is really close to the British Museum.
Don’t stay here if you want a good night sleep, the beds were like sleeping on granite. We were forced to get another hotel, they were unwilling to work with us on a partial refund. They got their money, but lost a customer.
Good price for the location.
The breakfast is ridiculously expensive, so I bought a sandwich in the supermarket the night before.
The room was nice and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We had a lovely garden view out of the windows. Nice and clean and well stocked with amenities.
The heaters appeared to be in a strange place as when I closed the curtains, they covered the wall heaters which made me feel a little worried about fire risk.
Welcoming and helpful staff. Great location for sightseeing, the theatre district was withing easy walking distance; also the British museum was just around the corner. The room was well appointed with everything you'd expect.
The bed was very hard which led to a poor night's sleep. A real shame because other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
