- Amazing location, and a hotel that feels luxurious and like home, both at the same time. It was a lovely way to make a birthday special. The restaurant is a beautiful glass-roofed space that is atmospheric for dinner (which we visited on a previous trip) and bathed in light for breakfast - even on the grey morning we were there. Staff were very attentive and polished. Our room was attractive, cozy and clean. We enjoyed the Mexican bar for a light dinner and loved the breakfast in the main restaurant.
Cons -
- Very poor service generally greeted by a young doorman who asked me to take one of our three small cases as he couldn’t manage it! Breakfasts were terrible and served cold each day. No idea how to serve tea!! We were told normally the tea leaves would be used for several pots! No lighting in corridors all very dark! Bathroom single sink and I was told it was one of the privileges of staying in a listed building! As we left no help at all with luggage down four nasty steps at the main entrance in semi darkness! In the bar they aggressively checked you had a rite to be there before serving! Air constructions for room incorrect and no one we spokes to seemed to know how it worked! They said they needed to unlock it in the room but when we got the technician who was fab it didn’t need to be unlocked as everyone else said the instructions in the room didn’t match the control device !! They added 15% service charges to bill dispute us not signing these off and offered free dinners and a chat when we complained !!! I can’t say what we paid but next time for similar money we will try the Savoy! It can’t be worse and has an indoor pool!
- It is a lovely hotel but I expected to be a bit more "wowed" for the price - in terms of experience rather than glitz. I would like to have seen more of the staff's personalities. Walking through the lobby was like triggering motion sensors of five perfect "good mornings"! I didn't like the door to the ensuite bathroom - two doors that have to meet exactly to close and there is a noisy click as the catch engages.

The location in Covent Garden is fantastic. Close to theatres and shops, yet away from the tourist crowds around Oxford Street, Regent Street, and other major attractions. It started with the warm welcome from exceptionally friendly staff. The hotel room genuinely had everything one could wish for, even a hair straightener! Wonderful bath towels, a very comfortable bed, and a well-stocked minibar. The room was beautifully and atmospherically designed. The room was kept impeccably clean throughout our stay. We very much enjoyed the New Year’s Eve dinner in the restaurant, as well as the restaurant service in the library on a few occasions. After a day immersed in the hustle and bustle of London, returning to the hotel is a wonderful experience; an oasis of calm where the refined ambience and attentive service allow you to unwind truly.
Excellent service very kind very helpful. Very comfortable bed.
The room for superior was small .
We had an amazing stay! From the tasteful interior, extremely attentive staff to the great locations - couldn’t recommend the Nomad more.
Brilliant location for the West End. Hotel beautiful with all staff very helpful and professional. Gorgeous room - comfy bed, stunning bathroom and lovely period touches. Loved the little touches eg champagne for birthday celebration, bookmark for my novel and fresh milk in the fridge!Overall, classy, elegant and funky vibe (ask to see the cells!) perfect for all travellers looking for a little bit extra. Boutique but homely - will definitely be back.
TV a bit difficult to navigate - but minor gripe
THEFT and lack of accountability
Deeply disappointed--Theft and lack of accountability I am writing this after one of the most upsetting experiences during what was supposed to be our 10 year anniversary trip with my wife, shortly after she lost her beloved grandmother. We stayed at this hotel expecting comfort and safety, but instead had money stolen from our room while we were out. Despite reporting it immediately and providing details, the hotels investigation concluded with no answers no willingness to share CCTV footage with us— only saying police could request it. That may sound reasonable on paper, but as guests who lost significant amounts of money, it left us feeling helpless, dismissed and unprotected. We traveled extensively and never experienced such poor handling of a serious situation. The incident completely ruined what should have been a special and healing trip. For the price and reputation of this hotel, the lack of transparency, empathy and accountability is unacceptable. I would strongly advise future guests to be extremely CAUTIOUS with their belongings and to consider other hotels that take guest safety and trust more seriously.
Everything!!!! Staff was over the top both friendly and accommodating. They didn't miss a thing!!! Food was outstanding in the restaurant, location was perfect. Great location for walking covent garden and 1 black from the underground which took us everywhere!! Highly recommend Nomad. Oh and did I forget to mention heated bathroom floors? Awesome
That I had to leave ?

My mother is 90 and I had mentioned that her circulation was not the best. Her room was extra warm on arrival and two hot water bottles were laid out on the bed. She was upgraded to a stunning room. The free afternoon tea on arrival (2 slices of Victoria sponge, 4 lemon macarons, 2 chocolate chip cookies per room) was superb and just what was needed after a long train journey. Also appreciated was the lack of a cloying overwhelming fragrance everywhere which so many hotels mistakenly seem to think is pleasant.
Slightly clutching at straws here since we had such a wonderful time. The passageways were a little dark and the signage to the rooms not the best (though the desire to be subtle was appreciated). Too much weird art in the rooms for my taste, but the next person might have thought it amazing. The mound of undressed lollo rosso with my (delicious) eggs benedict was superflous - put the eggs on a smaller plate and ditch the pointless garnish! And perhaps a more traditional breakfast might be available (or if it was available, mentioned somewhere) - cereal, toast, boiled eggs, not everyone wants truffles in the morning.

Well appointed rooms and facilities. Staff helpful and friendly, especially the doormen. The location was also good
When choosing a hotel, you generally choose one that has restaurants, lounges etc available to use at your discretion. With an event on for a full day, we lost some of the options that we chose the hotel for over a 24 hour period. It’s not the end of the world but when you are in the city for such a short time, it’s disappointing. Also we didn’t appreciate ‘discretionary’ charges being automatically added to our bill. We would have preferred being asked verbally if that was something we wanted to do.

Cool vibe, staff are friendly, breakfast was good, room was quiet. Location is nice in Covent Garden
Rooms are more basic vs other 5 star properties in the area when the price is on par. No bath in the room. No wifi access in my room, meaning I had to move but without offer of upgrade for the inconvenience. Wasted quite some time during a work trip.
Great location, comfortable room, but missing some nice touches that would justify the price.
Check-in experience was not great, the food after 11 PM for room service was just dreadful with minimal options, serve cold and dreadful quality. Crazy scenario at breakfast where one of the staff made a big deal about us using our laptops to work at breakfast, even though it was mostly empty And we had ordered food.
This property is amazing from the moment we stepped out of the cab until the moment we left! The rooms were perfect, clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning was wonderful. The rooms were very quiet. We had 2 rooms right next to one another. The shower was great! The concierge was so helpful, and made great recommendations. We had a little hiccup at the end where we extended our checkout by an hour the night before, but the staff hadn’t communicated it to morning staff, but they were gracious and it wound up not being a problem. The location is very central and you can walk to restaurants, the theater and shopping. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Interesting decor, Very helpful staff who gave us a tour of the hotel history
A bit too dark
