Marlin Apartments London City - Queen Street

I loved the loaner smart phone! A very nice surprise. Plus the location and proximity to the tube is fantastic.

If you need AC, this is not the place.

Nice location, apartment had all the essentials needed. Clean and orderly.

The staff was very attentive, patient and kind. The cleaning service was exceptional! The location was great for kitchen essentials with a Little Waitrose, Sainsbury Express and M&S Food nearby, and there were 3 tube stations which was really convenient. Also the restaurants in the arcade near the Bloomberg building were all excellent.

The elevator button to go from any floor to the ground floor was not working, so everyone had to get off on the 1st floor and walk down the stairs. It seemed like something that would be resolved quickly, but it was broken for my entire stay. Disappointed to learn there was no air conditioning during a heat wave, but staff provided an additional fan for my living room which was kind. I couldn't open one of the freezer drawers. Americans are very partial to ice, and there were no ice trays. The pub across the street gave me ice every day.

Great location close to public transportation, quiet, clean, friendly staff.

The staff was always friendly and helpful if we needed anything. The location was excellent for getting around the city; several tube stations within a few minutes walk. The apartment was excellent including the bed and all furnishings within. Apartment is cleaned once a week and fresh towels provided. The facility feels very safe; you are provided with a fob to get in front door, and of course the room was keyed. We slept with the windows open, but the city noise didn't bother us (we live in the country at home). One thing we noticed was that we never heard noise from adjacent rooms or the hallway, so obviously the construction is high quality.

There is no air conditioning and our apartment (#84) was on the top floor on the south side, so we had sun all day long and when we returned in the afternoon the room was extremely hot. (Daily highs were in mid 60F with mid 50's at night) We kept the curtains closed during day, opened windows when we returned and put the provided fan in front of 1 window to circulate air. I mentioned situation to front desk and she had someone deliver another fan, which provided 1 fan drawing air in and another blowing air out. This cooled it off much more quickly and we were comfortable.

Outdated, infested with silverfish, dishwasher smells, dirty, disgusting.

Location, cleanliness, accessibility, and friendly staff.The place is super clean, well situated and very accessible with any luggage. The staff is their strongest point, always available to help, friendly.

Terrible climate control in our unit. The unit was hot all the time due to lack of air conditioner. Unable to cool it off even at night with open windows despite temperatures being in the 50s outside. Most likely this has to do with this particular unit (88). With today’s technology and compact AC units, my advice to the owners, please put an air conditioner in this unit to make it tolerable. The beds are very firm and not very comfortable for long sleep.

The best thing about this hotel is its superb location! It's definitely one of the main reasons why staying here is so convenient.

As much as the location is spot on, this isn't the best place to stay during the summer season in London. The property has no air conditioning, and the fan and open windows just don’t do justice - it’s simply hot and uncomfortable.

Location is great, close to public transportation, restaurants, and attractions.Very spacious room, a big plus.The building may be a little old, no AC, hallway air was stuffed, but room was OK with windows open.

Very basic furniture in the room, chairs were not very comfortable to sit.My major complain is the noise from the underground tube. Though I stay in the second floor, I can still hear the noise day and night.

Area was great, close to the tube and walkable to many restaurants. . Apartment was spacious and very comfortable.

Communication between Booking and Marlin Apartments. We tried to get an early check-in but didn't have any luck, it seemed like Marlin had no record of our request.

It was very central and easy to access all the big attractions.

While there was no AC, we weren't sure why hotel was so warm given it was 18C outside and we had both windows open. With two fans we were able to manage the temperature. The metro is directly underneath so the higher the apartment the less you'll hear it. We were on the 2nd floor and it was ok, our remaining family was on the 1st floor and it was rather loud, but also much cooler in the apartment.

Comfortable bed and sleeper sofa. Well equipped kitchen. Fantastic location, with short walks to tube lines and other area sights.

We were told that there would be no daily room service, so we were not expecting anyone to enter our room while we were there. But, without asking or informing us, someone did enter while we were out to fix a broken shelf in the refrigerator. They admitted it after we asked.
