- Great location! It was crucial to be so lose to Paddington station. It made getting around London easy. The staff are very friendly and the 24-hour reception desk is incredibly convenient. We were upgraded to the family suite and it had a ton of room.
Cons -
- The room was covered in black mold and water damage. There was a whole corner that had paint peeling, bubbling water damage, and black mold. There was mold in the shower and all over the windows and window sills.
- The mattress is bad. You can feel the springs coming out of the mattress.
- There is no elevator, so just a heads up, if you¿re on the third floor it will be a lot of climbing!

Breakfast
No lift and lots of stairs. Narrow hallways not conducive for luggage. Wall tile in restroom popping off walls.
Location and staff
Room are really small also rooms smell of paint
Room was very clean and a good location within walking distance of Paddington Rail/Tube stations.
Friendly front desk staff!
I like that it was near the carnival and quick access to nearby stations and shops
That when i lay on the bed that i can feel the bed spring the bed is way to small for one person the mattress itself is way to thing and the bathroom had some mold
There was absolutely nothing you could like about it. It was the worst experience I have ever had.
I am absolutely appalled by my experience at this hotel. The room was in an unbelievable state of mess – filthy, unkempt, and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, cockroaches were crawling around the room. It was so dirty that sleeping there felt impossible, and it completely ruined my night.
The location is great - 10 minutes from Paddington station, few other stops of the Underground and Hyde Park. The staff was very helpful. There was a complimentary dinner which was not explicitly mentioned in the Booking page but it was a great addition. Our room was small but quite and nice.
There is a different breakfast during weekdays and during weekends. During the week days it is pretty basic.
Location. Free dinner.
The room stank of mold and damp. When I complained the manager tried to clean the carpets but it didn't work. It was horrible. It started to affect my throat. The bathroom wasn't clean, hair and dirt. TV didn't work. The bed was up against the window and not the headboard. Overall just awful.
Ist staff helpful, greetedMale dining member ( Eastern European ) polite, helpful
1st room basement. I requested grd or lift b4 and on arrival. Had to wait for swap at cost of £3 which was then made to £6! Misinformed by staff. I made it clear that my personal ID bedeleted, told it would be on check out. Staff contacted manager so trust it's actioned. Don't want any adverts etc.sent me! Room was cold had to ask 3times to be rectified. Shared with 1 m,Long term quest( snored!) Suggest a different system for long stay ,so shortstay can have space/rest/not a cluttered rm share, messy, curtain washanging off/odours. Some meals too spicy,b'fast ok,coffee poor, irregular portions to guests? Industrial catering.
The location is the only thing going for this property.
It’s deceiving it’s literally a hostel and a very dirty one at that. The sheets were filthy, the bed had bugs on it and the shower had one hand towel I would avoid booking as you can get cheaper and better standard of hotels in the same location
Hostel hotel staff guests
Slight refraction but it corrected by morning
It's not a typical hostel, but it's exactly the kind of place I was looking for. Very friendly and attentive staff. I was offered a complimentary dinner even though the booking.com listing didn't say so. I would be happy to return there.
A complete disaster and ruined holiday in London
Overall the attitude of the hotel was terrible. First of all, my reservation was not prepared - after arriving at the hotel premises, I spent most of the time in the hotel lobby (at night, I had not slept in the new day) because I had to wait for the return of the manager, who tried, but partially resolved the situation by letting me into a room where I could stay shorter for 3 h until the time of the main manager's return. The hotel apologized verbally but did nothing to compensate for my ruined stay.
The night porter is a lovely, kind lady; was so easy to check in. It’s clearly a former 3-star hotel and quite beautiful. The rooms are smaller and not many people crammed in together, plus the en-suite was great too. Privacy was nice! Price is perfect for me; all my stuff is at my office changing room lockers so I literally just came to put my head down. Woke, went back to office, showered and got ready there, so I don’t need much.
The beds creak a lot and I could hear the people upstairs walking around. Mattress is cheap spring instead of solid, quiet foam. Roomie is clearly a longer-term resident as she had laundry detergent and instant food scattered about, plus a lot of luggage and stuff which took up nearly the entire room. Only my bed was available, so wouldn’t have been comfortable had I brought any of my stuff. Breakfast is possibly the cheapest sliced bread and cereal ever so I didn’t partake.
Break fast was good - Staff at Mess was very nice.
3 occupants in one small room
Value of money, neat, clean and nearby all tube stations.
Washroom is very small.
