Auberge du Grand Lac

The general location by the park, lake, and restaurants was great.

It was unfortunate that a McDonalds was located directly across the street, which detracted from the charm.

Hi! I really appreciated the view on the Magog Lake, the fact that I could walk to the nearest stores, restaurants, and even the park in front of the Lake. Thank you!

The only little problem was that the parking is in the back of the building and we cannot go directly by the back, we have to go out in the front and then walk outside. But, really not a big problem. thank you!

We loved this gem of a hotel. Our room on the 3rd floor was very clean, comfy and quiet. Staff was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Being able to get up in the morning and walk to fabulous shops, restaurants, trails was the best part.

Outdated. The pictures did not represent what the auberge looks like today . Rooftop terrance is pretty much in need of some TLC. It is a missed opportunity.

Excellent value and wonderful location by the river. All of the main street shops and restaurants are a short walk away. The room was big with plenty of room to spread out.

One of the door locks wasn't functioning properly and one of the lamp light bulbs was missing. The parking lot was very tight, but that could be explained by the snow piles.

Large clean room equipped with mini fridge and coffee maker.

Everything was great.

Paid breakfast was very limited with yesterday’s croissant, defrosted yogurt, rotten apples, and bananas.

We paid same price as other customers that have meal included but we didn't have meal included.

There's a McDonalds across street that might be 24 hours so there's car noise if you are on that side

Location was very convenient to downtown. The beds were very comfortable with very nice linens. Very clean.

Parking was in the rear with no rear entrance/exit.

I don’t remember reading there was no elevator and that should be written as we are seniors! The price was too high compare to the Aiberge du grand Lake! Oops that went in the other section.It’s a nice old house! Very clean rooms!

Great hotel, perfect location close to shopping, restaurants, lake. Exceptionally clean, very nice staff and comfortable rooms. I would recommend this hotel to friends/family.

My first impression was good. The receptionist who checked me in was personable and helpful. The room was clean and modest.

Room 115 should never be used for guests who want to go to bed until 1:00 AM. Unknown to me until I arrived back to my room around 8:00 PM the room is directly over the kitchen and the large fanscause a constant rumbling noise and also cause the bed to vibrate. When I spoke to the staff they assured me that no one had ever complained about this before and acted as if they couldn’t hear it. By 10:00 they offered to move me to a room they had left on the 3rd floor. Since they had a sign on the front door to say they were full, I had no intention of trying out that room. Sometime after midnight the noise and vibration stopped.

Location is perfect - the town with its shops and amazing restaurants, as well as the park and lakeside activities, are all well within walking distance. Hotel is extremly clean and well kept even thugh it is basic; has everything you need.

Nothing - everything about this hotel is excellent.
