    Pros +

    • If you are spending the day at Balnea, it is so relaxing to just walk down the hill and continue to enjoy the quiet day in your room or in one of the many spaces to chill out with a book or journal or glass of whatever you like. Nice kitchen. Clean.
    • Rooms are very small but the grounds are beautiful and a lovely place to be. Staff were amazing and the ambiance is unsurpassed
    • The location was great, right next to the Balnea Spa. The kitchen was also nice for cooking and fully equipped.

    Cons -

    • The shower took SIX minutes to heat up; so wasteful! Because of COVID, we were told to eat in our room, but the room only had a bed. No table or chairs. The bed had a stain on it. The staff didn't come to tidy up the room or change towels. Disappointing.
    • Insonorisation
    • Some details could contribute to a cozier, cabin like atmosphere (which is what the hotel is about). Like a bed throw and nicer pillows in the room.

The hotel is a bit secluded but the location is very convenient if you are planning to visit Balnea spa, or walk around the nature trails. We liked the portable turntable to play vinyls in the room, and the Oneka bath amenities. The bagel bar for breakfast was another nice, hipster wink (though there were not a lot of breakfast items to choose from).

Some details could contribute to a cozier, cabin like atmosphere (which is what the hotel is about). Like a bed throw and nicer pillows in the room.

Convenient to Balnea. Nice breakfast. Comfortable bed.

Thin walls. Had room by exterior door and could hear guest coming and going at all hours.

The coffee machine did not work and asked to be revised changed and nothing happened

The property is located in the hills near Bromont, just past a vast centre for horse- riding and jumping and a spa. The pool is inviting with lounge chairs and beach towels provided. The breakfasts are simple but very good and nutritious. Tables are available inside and outside on a covered terrace.

Great location and proximity to Balnea spa. Simple, but delicious breakfast. Cute and stylish rooms. Overall comfortable stay.

    Everything was great.

I liked the common space with the ping pong table. I also liked the large shared kitchen, it was great for preparing a picnic lunch. The breakfast was great, the bagels were delicious and the yogurt granola bar was nice. The staff were friendly.

The decor was nice and it was clean

The staff at reception was rudel. They suggested we use the same credit card that was on reservation then proceeded to explain it was more complicated for them and guilted us into paying some other way. They asked for a piece of ID (which is common) but then laughed at our passport. The room was not comfortable at all, the bed was very small, the pillows were flat, it was hot and stuffy in the room and we ended up leaving in the middle of the night. For the price, I really don't recommend.

    7RobynhochglaubePosted on: 2-21-2025

The rooms were cozy, but a bit small with not enough clothing storage. They close the main area at 9pm and you can't use it in the main building, which meant we had to stay. in our room which was a little tight as three adults.

The breakfast was very basic, but ok, just bagels (no sliced bread or muffins) which are frozen and often were not fully defrosted in the morning. The yogurt was nice - but also was partially frozen - it seems the small fridges get too cold.

Nice quiet location outside, room was comfy ,it was a beautiful place the location

The noise at night and the toilet water pipes , clicking noise at night , kept me up unfortunately

The staff were very nice even with us only knowing broken French they were able to speak English when we had issues we didn’t know how to speak

Lots of lounging space, shared equipment available (full kitchen), cleanliness. Space is well designed and well-thought.

On a few occasions the water pressure would significantly fluctuate.

The location is fantastic and everything has been carefully renovated. Very enjoyable stay

The breakfast was a little below my expectations

    10JoyPosted on: 12-22-2024

The proximity to the Balnea Spa was perfect for us. We were able to walk to the spa for treatments during the day and it was just a short drive for dinner. The breakfast was very good. And thanks for having it snow while we were there! It was gorgeous. Next time we want to explore the trails.

    10JuliePosted on: 9-19-2024

We went to enjoy biking so the proximity to Bromont Mountain, while escaping into the country, was lovely. We were also able to take advantage of the trails around the hotel, and, if time had allowed would have loved to experience the Balnea Spa up the road.

The only downside to the hotel was the tight corners to the bathroom sink within our bedroom, however, the overall size of the room and the rest of its amenities were perfect for us.
