Pros +
- For what I needed, the location was perfect.
- Felt secure, good price, good location, complimentary breakfast, bed was comfortable and clean, bed had excellent privacy curtains, Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Very convenient for me as I was only in Toronto for less than one day and night.
- They delivered on all that was promised.
Cons -
- I missed having a coffee pot in the room. I didn?t enjoy having to face the winter winds to get my coffee. There was coffee in the kitchen, but, had to wait until the kitchen opened. The slats under my mattress kept slipping which I had to fix repeatedly
- Shared bathroom was bit small for a room of 4 strangers, the shower door dripped water all over the floor and opened up directly next to the toilet so the bathroom cleanliness wasn't the best either, and no towel to dry hands, paper towel or cloth.
- Missing a door ring on the back door of the hotel, once you park your vehicle.

Pleasant
The shower was small and the sink unusableWasnt as clean as i hoped for
This hostel exceeded my expectations. The location is close to the CN Tower and Lake Ontario, and it’s a three-minute walk to the 510 streetcar. The staff are very friendly, and the common areas are kept very clean. However, since it’s a hostel, you may occasionally encounter some unusual roommates. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised by the price.
Nice staff, good location
Parking is a bit expensive
I liked the place and specially the location was great. The staff was friendly, I found everything clean, and had everything I needed for the night I stayed.
I know the hostel in someway cannot control the guests they have and how they act. In my case the guests in my room were friendly but too loud, sincee I just stayed one night it was ok. But for sure this is something that you are lucky or unlucky with while stying in hostels. Maybe the hostel could be more strict and direct when you check-in, let the guests know that after a certain hour it's mandatory to be quiet.
Conveniently located, friendly staff.
Rooms spread amongst multiple buildings. Not well insulated for sound from hallways, no elevator for those with mobility issues.
We have stayed at Clarence Park twice now and both times were wonderful. This time we were upgraded to a wonderful room with a small balcony and the room was very spacious.
Everything was great, there was a short wait to check in but they had a few people checking in.
Great location, price is reasonable, private room very hotel-like
I love the rooms and the location. When travelling through Toronto, this hostel is the closest place to the train station which is reasonably priced, and the private rooms are great! I will be staying again in August.
All good.
The breakfast was on time. Simple, good and enough. The room was clean, curtains and sockets available. It was warm in my room but having a sweat shirt could help at night.
Had a room mate that snored heavily but I experienced it for only one night. This was no fault of the hostel.
Newer more.
The hotel practiced what felt like deceptive bait-and-switch tactics. After I made a non-refundable payment, they sent additional conditions and hidden fees via chat that were not disclosed during the booking process. These 'clarifications' effectively prevented me from checking in. They were polite, but the result was the same: they took my money without providing the service. In my opinion, this felt like a calculated scheme."
Amazing location close to subway, nice view, walking distance to many nice restaurants, cafes, and gymsOatmeal as breakfast optionLarge communal kitchen and many relax areas in the house
Narrow walk up
Budget friendly
There was no central heating in the room. It was -20+ overnight. I had to ask twice for a space heater. But they did provide it eventually along with another duvet.
Does what it says, it's clean, staff are friendly and you get a free breakfast
The location was close to all of the attractions and facilities. As were the staff and the breakfast.
Our room had an exit door in the middle of it, which we didn't know before we booked. It was also quite cold due to the poor isolation of the door. Other than this all was decent.
This was an excellent find for my stay in Toronto. Firstly, the accommodation was great, from the kitchen to the bedrooms and the bathroom. Furthermore, it was strategically located nearby trams and buses to get around the city. I also enjoyed the fact that I had a very quiet and peaceful night out of my walk around the town. The staff also accommodated me quite well when I needed to eat a midnight meal and allowed me to use the kitchen at the time. The luggage store was also very convenient for helping me to catch my flight the next day. Very lovely place!
The place was really nice and welcoming. The staff was extremwly helpful. I even forgot my wallet in the washrooms and they managed to store it for me while coming back. The location was perfect, close to everything in the center and Union Station.
Friendly staff, good location, easy to meet and socialize with other guests.
Room #4 on 3rd floor too hot even with window open in winter. Also, sink only has hot water and no cold.
