Cons -
- The breakfast scone didn’t seem fresh, We arrived late and received the welcoming wine and sat down at the fire to drink them and they closed down the music and fire early when we were enjoying.
- Bed was extremely uncomfortable. No support, low ( ikea Malm bed frame), creaky and too soft mattress. Sore backs for us. No place to sit other than bed, the one wicker chair is for looks only, not stable, the sofa is in a room by itself with no table or tv. No place for toiletries in bathroom. It was a very cute concept and definitely nicer than a typical roadside motel, but not worth the upgrade in price. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
- The moto is small. Except the campfire and the lobby, there is not much to do. There are not a lot of chairs in these area. Would have been nice to have a restaurant or a bigger breakfast as well. Despite this, loved the decor, the service and the rooms.

The place was clean and tidy
The staff at reception tried to charge us an extra $CAD250 upon checking out even though we paid in full prior to the date of check in. Would recommend for everyone to double check their invoice before leaving/checking out
I recently stayed at this motel and while the place was clean, the overall experience did not match the high rates they charge. For what they bill as a “luxury” rate, the service and amenities were far below expectations. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable—cheap quality with springs that could be felt through the surface. The bed was also so noisy that both my husband and I, as well as our friends in another room, barely slept all night.Breakfast was included, but the selection was very limited: only muffins, scones, apples, oranges, yogurt, and coffee. This is far from what you’d expect for the cost of the stay. The most frustrating part was the booking experience. I had originally booked a room for $634.61. A few days later, I discovered my reservation had been canceled due to a payment issue—but I received no call or email about this. I then had to rebook the same type of room for $787.38, using the exact same payment method, and this time it went through without issue. I messaged the property via the Booking.com app but never received a response. In the end, I paid significantly more for a booking I had already made in advance, which left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.
Definitely not a best value for price, they charge hotel price and provide average motel service.
super quaint, friendly staff, great location overlooking the Bay.
coffee could have stayed out a little longer. It was removed just before 10am.
Loved the cleanliness and asthetics of the rooms. The smore's and bonfire was a gamechanging experience.
Breakfast spread could have been a bit better, especially for the per night price of rooms. Everything was sweet - muffins, yogurt, fruits etc. Even if they cannot offer hot breakfast, probably something savoury like croissants could also have been a good addition, or even some barista coffee.
Love love love this motel!! These ladies did a fabulous job with literally everything. Every moment and detail has been thoroughly thought out, and it shows. They nailed the interior design - it’s chic and fun and I wish more hotel/motels put this much effort into their aesthetic (coming from an interior designer). My favorite part though, is the cleanliness - I don’t think I’ve ever been in such a clean hotel and personally, that’s the most important aspect for me. I even felt comfortable using the throw pillow and blanket on the bed (which never ever happens). They provide a noise machine in the room, and if you’re like me and need white noise to sleep, the ac/fan unit offered the perfect amount of white noise, I felt like I was sleeping at home. Highly recommend!!
Location was good and enjoyed the motel vibe. I liked the sense of community gathering around fire for drinks and smores. Fun to see kids or couples.
We stayed in 2 bedroom room. The smaller room by door has window with very sheer blind. The found it far too bright and I would suggest the blind but with a curtain black out option as it was just so hard to sleep with so much light
Great location in the charming village of Picton, less then 30min from Sandbanks national park
Rooms are so badly insulated that one can hear anything going on in the other rooms. For the price, we were expecting the minimal level of comfort of a quiet room
Excellent location 5 min from downtownRooms were well equipped, stylish and super clean. Staff went above and beyond!
Can’t complain about a thing
Beautiful decoration and surroundings, spacious room. We loved the campfire and the smores. The staff was really nice and the breakfast was very good quality.
We felt a bit cramped in the beds and the drinks at the bar were expensive.
We liked the woman-centered vibe and the s’mores.
I would have preferred a more comfortable chair and side table.
Such a charming spot right outside downtown Picton. Great for a girls' vacation but also nice for couples. Loved the decor and locally made toiletries.
A little pricey but par for the course in that area for peak season.
The space was cool, and nicely decorated. It was nice to be offered a glass of rose on arrival. Staff were wonderful (I'm sorry, I can't remember the young man who managed the place, he was great) and the everything was very clean and the toiletry products were lovely. The fire pit area was so nice... I wish I had more time to hang out there. Great spot!! (oh, and loved the pillows, so soft, and having a balcony was a treat)
We loved our room, the décor was so nice and the way it was set up was excellent. The Lobby Bar and campfire was so cute and we loved having coffee and breakfast in the morning.
If there was 1 thing that I would change it would be the bathroom sink (such a minor silly thing really). It was so small
The rooms were very clean. The communication was great, very responsive overall
The bed was a little hard for my liking but that’s a personal preference.
The location was perfect for us. Quiet, scenic road. Very little traffic.Nice reception with a complementary glass of wine. The room was very clean and nice size.
Some noise coming from the adjoining rooms.
The staff, hands down, are what made the stay enjoyable. They didn't seem to know much in terms of recommending things to see and do in the area. But they were always friendly, and happy to help, in terms of the property itself, ie bike rental, s'mores, etc.
We have stayed in other boutique hotels, and have found better bang for our buck, sadly. We found the common areas, like the motel lobby and fire pit to be well decorated, essentially instagrammable. And the rooms themselves to be lack luster, by comparison. Our bed was super uncomfortable. And there were no 'extras' in the room, for what we paid. Thank goodness we got a discounted online deal, and it was low season pricing.
Very well decorated. The rooms are inviting and spacious. The outdoor pit and small bar area are the best features
Although the front staff is as available and present, she wasn’t the most welcoming or friendly. The drinks that are on the menu were very good but the lack of options in different kinds of spirits was disappointing. Also, the fact that you could only get instant coffee was a first for me. Never been to a hotel where they refused to put a fresh pot of coffee on for their guests.
