Pros +
- Close to Picton and the event that we were attending on Sunday. Allowed our 2 dogs, which was the main reason we booked there. Was really expensive for what we got!!
- Lake view
- Right on the water. The BBQ was perfect. It does need new burners and plates. The staff member we met was so very nice and helpful. She was great.
Cons -
- Motel was basically a "dump". I have stayed in better places in rural Saskatchewan. Met no staff. Our freezer was so full of frost that we couldn't get anything in there. Coffee pot was broken. Doors didn't close properly. Cobwebs everywhere. Yuck
- The toilets were clean and the sinks and floors were in good shape. For me it’s the cobwebs inside.Take a swiffer duster around the edges and corners. I know it’s a rustic cottage feel but same with outside…spray it down or sweep away the big spider webs near doors and windows.
- Slightly unusual (we thought) practice of not having sheets placed on the bed (though there are linens in kitchen and bathroom). The sheets are stored in a tote under the bed, and/or guests bring their own. Don't recall seeing any notice of this. We didn't understand this and we got thru the first night without sheets! Otherwise fine.

Simple and functional with a good view of the bay.

Beautiful location, friendly people, good facilities. Jennifer and Kevin gave us an upgrade and they were very personable
The only observation would be that the floor in one of the bedroom's and the kitchen wasn't completely clean. The rest - the cupboards, the dinner and cookware and the bathroom were good
The layout of room and bathroom is good. However, it is not two bathrooms, which is different from bookings descriptions.
The room smell is terrible! A lot spiders and spider webs. Room is not clean.
Unsuccessful
We were greeted by a very rude and disrespectful lady. The house smelled of cigarettes and within 5 minutes my children's feet were already dirty as if we were outside. Everything was very old, especially the shower. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience.
Very Nice Cottage, excdllent view on the lake. Around 25mins walk to downtown Restaurants
A bit run down. No nice swiming Spot for the lake.
Beautiful and convenient location! Cabin was super cute!
Unfortunately, the bed was sooooo uncomfortable (no padding ALL SPRINGS). Had a terrible sleep.
Super sweet spot by the water, complete kitchen, nice view, staff super helpful
Mouse traps in the cabinets. And it could be cleaner.
The owners are amazing; we had such a great time and will be returning!!! The communal firepit is amazing, you get to meet the other guests. Phenomenal experience, if you are unsure, book it!!!
The place we rented was a bit small, but I was expecting it. It was clear from the pictures it was a little cottage and we will get a bigger one next time.
Great location, lovely spot on the bay, quick drive or walk into town, plenty of parking.
It was extremely clean and welcoming. Staff were very friendly.
Communal fire pit, and our cabin had a very weird set up. You had to walk through the master bedroom to get to the smaller bedroom. Our doors is also didn’t close very well. Bathroom was extremely small nowhere to get changed for a shower.
Our first time booking a cottage in PEC. Well supplied and maintained cottages. Short drive (or long walk) onto main strip of Picton and to Sandbanks. Very pet friendly location.
Very clean cottage with comfortable bed.
Waterfront cottage and excellent fishing
Cute cluster of cottages on the lake. Very quiet and comfortable
Location was amazing, and we loved sitting on the water and soaking up the view. Appreciated having the BBQ and some games available.
Two bedroom suite was not quite as expected. The first bedroom was, in fact, the main room - had no doors or privacy. The bathroom was off this room. Second bedroom was behind Grench doors, so limited privacy. The table was in here. The fridge in the main room. Made sharing the space a bit awkward. All in all, while we had a great time it's a bit pricy for what we got. That said, the whole area is expensive.
Very beautiful view
Bed mattresses are 100 years old , and the washroom fits 2 year old baby.
Our cottage was nice place and spacious. It had everything that we needed.
There was a group of people who monopolized the firepit and the dock area, so we could never use it. Just the timing of when we were there. The website could be improved and have interior pictures available. Also, the prices should be listed.
Beautiful sunset and nice owner. Also has biggest fish in there.
