Location, lots of parking, beautiful view.

Very loud between rooms, and there were people playing loud music and fighting down the hall. No internet - wrong password given.

Convenient location across from the sea and easy walk to restaurants and grocery storeHas potential to be a much more attractive property. Shows its age now but owner is working on updating the rooms.

Old creaky building

The scenery, cleanness, very comfy and welcoming. Room is very spacious and family oriented.

Our room was only missing toiletries, just glad we have our own packed with us on any trip.

The room was great and bed was comfy. The shower had great pressure and loved waking up to the smell of the ocean.

The location was amazing. Fantastic views from the large sitting room window. Spent hours just looking at the beautiful scenery in the changing light.Saw seals and sea otters swimming right past the inn.Warm welcome from Larry and really enjoyed being able to spend one evening listening to live music in the Orca Pub with its great atmosphere. . Thought the lead singer was familiar! Larry is great at multi tasking.

No breakfast provided. The Orca Inn is very old but interesting. It was very clean & spacious, good for a large group.The food in the dining room was excellent.

It needs an outdoor space. The Wifi was not reliable

Good location, convenient restaurant and pub at location. Kitchen well stocked. Bed comfy. Everything was very clean. Good entertainment in the pub. Restaurant has delicious food.

As expected with an older building..Thin walls so could hear everything going on around us. Some orders that come with old buildings.

The location was perfect, the view was beyond amazing, the kitchen had everything we needed, everything worked well, and there was plenty of room for our family. Also, the price was right!

The place is older, and the carpets smell old. The beds were ok, but not especially comfortable.

The view from the Orca Inn is fantastic, the information given about Alert Bay was useful and Larry is really accommodating.

The room hadn't been updated in a very very long time, everything is dated and it all felt a bit grim. The bathroom sink didn't really drain, there were cupboard handles not attached/loose, the bedroom window blind had a piece missing, one of the towels and pillows was stained. There was a bedside lamp that didn't go to any power as there wasn't a socket nearby, and some of the sockets just didn't work. It's a shame because the location is stunning, Larry is great, but the room was bad. You can get better elsewhere for what you'll pay for a room here.

The kids loved the large spacious apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy a meal together. Everyone had lots of space and and an area to spend time together.

The rooms were very dated and looked like they had been neglected for a longtime.There was no front desk or anyone staying over. It felt like the place was derelict, and nothing like what was described on the booking site.

Great location in the heart of Alert Bay. Great food at the restaurant and pub is a really good time. The property is old but with that comes charm and character!

Being on the Main Street (Fir) was great...just slightly past the busiest part with a wonderful view of the ocean and surrounding landscapes from where we sat to eat...Just minutes to the centre of town on foot or bike...no need to drive. Great to have a kitchen which was adequately supplied...(Could use one bigger pot for cooking, say, pasta)- we did eat in and cook a bit. Bed and sofa comfortable, the space big enough for sure. We took our chairs to the grassy bit on the shore for our evening 'cocktail' and there is a 'picnic' table outside too. The owner is not necessarily onsite so just be sure to check your emails...and he'll come on down to meet and greet and let you in. Thanks Larry.

Would be great if there was somewhere outside the Inn to lock bikes out of sight (like an enclosed area). We locked ours to our car bike rack which worked fine though.

We had a lovely stay in Alert Bay at the Orca Inn with our extended family including the everso silent children :) A lovely little Inn with nooks and books and a fantastic view of the sea. A whale and porpoises obliged us with frolicking right in front of our lounge window! Very glad to dine at the restaurant and enjoy live music with the localsat the pub. A genuine gem and would not hesitate to return. Big thanks to Larry :)

The suite was very nice with a great view. Comfortable bed.

We were expecting the restaurant and bar to be open.
