    Pros +

    • The location was great. It was in Old Montreal so everything was within walking distance.
    • How spacious and affordable it was
    • Perfect location right at the heart of old town Montreal, with plenty of nearby parking options.

    Cons -

    • Room could be noisy in the early morning due to garbage pickup trucks
    • No elevator, although we knew that prior to booking. Was only an issue while bringing in and taking out our luggage. Some explanation of how to operate the thermostat/heat/ air conditioning controls would have been helpful. We did finally figure it out our 2nd day there.Didn't really care for the expresso machine- would have preferred a Keurig or standard coffeepot.Breakfast not included, but plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby.
    • No elevator and lots of stairs with no porter unless requested in advance.

The check in was easy, the communications was great, that we were able to store our bags for a few hours before checking into our room was very helpful, our room was beautiful and had everything we needed, plus very comfy and quiet. We appreciated that there is a bathroom in the hallway too. It was lovely to have croissants waiting for us in the morning, what a treat. The location was excellent and parking nearby was easy. WE loved our stay and hope to return again! Thank you!!!

Great location. Very close to everything we wanted to see in Old Montreal. The room was very clean, modern and comfy. The room included a kitchen with small fridge, microwave, sink, and some dishes & cookware. Very easy to enter the hotel and our room with the door codes provided ahead of our arrival. We were also able to use the laundry facilities free of charge. We had a short walk to the hop on-hop off bus tour so we could see other parts of Montreal as well.

Big rooms. Kitchen amenities down the hall and coffee/tea in room.

No elevator and lots of stairs with no porter unless requested in advance.

The location, the vibe and decor, the little extras like robes and good shampoo and soap, and the well stocked kitchenette for our use. Also the ease of getting in with the codes.

There were some strange buzzing noises in the wall sometimes and not much of a noise barrier to the hallway. Not a big deal though, because we brought a noise machine!

This is an extremely honest review. I really wanted to like this hotel— the rooms are super cute and spacious, pretty clean, and it’s a good location. I come to MTL often and was looking for an easy go-to hotel, but I just did not have a good experience, primarily related to the “virtual” front desk. The property is in the Old Port, which is a relatively nice area but on the first night of my stay, a man who made me feel very uncomfortable started following me (around 9 pm on a weekday) and was clearly trying to get into the lobby with me. I had all my stuff, was trying to figure out the key pad, nothing around was really open, and in order to get him to stop following me I had to walk around (he continued to follow me, even hiding behind cars when he realized I noticed) and then actually had to wait in the hotel across the street until it felt safe. I tried to leave later in the evening to find some food but when I came downstairs he was still outside, watching through the glass front door (unsettling). If he had come in behind me, it could have been a super unsafe situation, which left me feeling rattled. There is no one to help you, and the room codes are kind of difficult to enter. The next issue was that they somehow lost the last night of my week-long booking, and were texting me in the middle of the night telling me I needed to pay for the room again because the last night had been allegedly cancelled (very scammy feeling and anxiety- generating) and not great to not go to bed not knowing if I needed to frantically book another night somewhere else. Booking was showing active everywhere and eventually (after tons of screenshots) the issue was resolved, but when you have a day full of meetings it’s not fun to be dealing with this (via text) because they refuse to call you. The last issue wouldn’t have been a big deal if other things had gone better— but the room wasn’t overly clean.

A lot of small issues that became big issues due to the “virtual” front desk situation.

Fabulous location, walking distance to many shops, restaurants, coffee shops, sights. Spacious room, comfortable, nice kitchenette with electric kettle for tea, staff lovely, fresh croissants in the lobby every morning, laundry facilities available after 3pm every day.

Garbage pick up right outside our window EVERY MORNING as early as 6am - VERY NOISY!!

We appreciated the size and space within our room and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The robes & soaps/lotion were a nice touch, as were the coat hooks. The info that was emailed to us prior to our arrival was excellent and most informative & helpful (e.g., parking garages & distance from hotel; recommendation for not leaving car unattended in front of hotel). We especially appreciated the chance to leave our bags in the laundry room both on our day of arrival & departure.

We had difficulty getting the fan to work, so the room was warmer than we liked for sleeping. Also, it was challenging to operate the key panel for our room, as we were touching the panel to get the light to turn on, when that was then triggering an error (as the system was registering this initial touch as a number). Finally, we figured out the need to turn the light on our phone so we could view the numbers on the panel.

Amazing location in old Montreal, lots of lounge space with the couch area where I enjoyed coffee (which was provided) every morning, good value. It definitely felt like a hotel / Airbnb hybrid with no front desk / staff present. The concierge over chat / phone was very prompt and helpful.

Like others have mentioned, it was pretty noisy. I had a street facing room, and cars / trash pickup at 7am were obvious, thin walls too so you can hear neighbors and guests upstairs.

Room was pleasant and clean, with good beds and shower, and a fair amount of space. Location is fantastic, right in the middle of Old Montreal.

Check-in process could be a little smoother, although it worked fine. Keep in mind that there are practically no staff on site.

The room itself was amazing. Clean and aesthetically beautiful. Love the filtered water, products in room and the Flo water!

The only feedback I had was that I was woken up by the garbage truck in the morning. It was very loud and I couldn't go back to sleep. I did stay at another hotel the next day and they provided ear plugs anticipating it. Would suggest that for this property!

    Location, room, kitchen,staff.

No ice machine or ice trays.

Check-in was seamless. The decor was beautiful. Bed, pillows, and linens were very comfortable. Room was huge and had a really nice lounge area with a couch, table, and comfy chair. Everything we needed was there - very thoughtful (e.g., bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer, iron, lovely personal care products, laundry basket, fridge space, espresso pods, etc.). The location was absolutely amazing. Right in the old city but still quiet!

Honestly, nothing. It was perfect, and we'll definitely return.

The spot is super central and lovely inside. It was comfortable and had everything I needed.

There were challenges with communication and receipt of check in information. I was given the access information more than 24 hours before but noted that one of the codes was missing. When I flagged it they said I would get it within 24 hours and to give them my email address, but I never received it. When I got to the room at check in time I still didn't have the code. Had to go through text and the booking.com messaging system to get a response. Luckily it was a quick response via text but the communication was all over the place.
