Pros +
- Location is first, its quite that's good.
- The kitchen offers a great place to see other people staying at the hostel.
- This place has a very nice friendly Young International vibe. At school! Of course you won't get a mint on your pillow, but you wouldn't expect one would you? I had the private room is this place, which is an a grade location. As long as you know what to
Cons -
- If there is a small area to hang wet towels would be great. People hanging beside beds not that great.
- The rooms were a bit dusty, but nothing major. More importantly, there is not a power outlet at each bed, so charging a phone used as an alarm clock is not really an option...

I liked the mood in the auberge de jeunesse alternative. You have the possibility to made your own life and to meet others people and create good connections. It's very like a little community and you have the choice to be a part of this or live your li
Location, staff and facilities.
In reservation I had aI booked a single bed, but I had to sleep in a bunk bed.
The location and the attention service
The matress really uncomfortable and sadly the roommates were snoring all night.
Location
The wooden floor sounds every steps you take. Need to fix it. Small space to shower but I enjoyed.

Good central location, easy checkin, staff were friendly. Water is hot for showers and you get a large locker outside that fits a big backpack.
If you get a top bunk, there’s nowhere to charge devices, and no privacy curtains (only bottom bunk get these). Beds quite old and rickety and rooms pretty small.
Location. Staff was nice
Beds were not comfortable at all. No privacy also.
Location, bed was really comfortable, kitchen is well equipped. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Only 1 toilet available on my floor for a lot of people to share. It caused issues. Staircase is really narrow to bring a suitcase.
Location is lively since it's 5 mins. walk from the old Montreal. And close to bus stops and metros to get to all the landmarks. Staffs are very friendly, warm, and helpful. I enjoyed their full kitchen for guests to use and the coffee and tea are available all the day.
I stayed in the pink room, bed #4 which is the 6 beds all females room. The room only have ceiling lights with halogen lightbulbs which is very bright and give off heat. It's right next to my bed. 2 of my 4 days stay the weather was very warm all day and night which felt like I was in a sauna. Add to that several fellow travelers were ignorant and inconsiderate (they ignore my request) to have the lights on even pass 9pm because they were either in the bottom bunks with a curtain to block the brightness and hotness and one of them was on the top bunk several feet away from the light. So I think for hostel to resolve this issue is more hopeful than asking travelers to be considerate. I didn't address this issue with the hostel during my stay because I didn't want to make the room tension worse and I also don't want to pack up my things to move to a different room even if there's a vacancy. Holiday shouldn't be with this much hassles.
The property is located at a very convenient location. It has good security as each customer is assigned a unique pin to only access to enter the facility and the area allocated to them.
I was in a shared room where one person snored like a train the whole night. Snoring loudly with different sounds. I hardly got some sleep. But you get what you pay for so this is not the fault of the facility. It’s the nature of the game. It should be expected.
Kind staffNearby there are some good restaurants.
We got the upper bunk. The height is very high.So my friend felt a little scare first time.
Great well-run hostel really close to the old town and river in Montreal and well served by buses. Easy walk to everywhere you are likely to want to go.We booked a double room and had a double bed plus bunks in the room so plenty of space. The window opened and an aircon was available. Towels were included and there was even a chat of drawers and towel rails which was nice. Bathrooms were very clean and there were enough on each floor. Good showers and plenty of hot water.Reception staff were awesome. Always someone available 7am to 11pm, friendly and helpful. Kitchen is super well equipped with everything plus games, books etc. We missed the weekly poutine night (try to be there on a Thursday). There's a washing machine available after 4pm which is also handy. This is a really well run friendly hostel with a nice vibe, highly recommend.
Somewhere to put your soap in the shower would be handy. Otherwise everything was great.
Very well locatedLoved the atmosphere and very friendly staffPerfect value for money if you are a backpacking person.
Lots of stairs ?

Lots of stairs
It has a good rate and it has a fridge
No freezer , microwave not working first day, washer quick to fill, five flights of steps , no help from staff (the staff barely speaks English) You have to pay $2 for a towel .. the bathrooms weren’t as clean , the beds are horrible , guests horrible , room small
- Spending Poutine night with the staff and getting to know other travelers- Very convenient location- Easy to ask for more storage space (esp. for cosplays)- Comfy common room- Super convenient checkout
- Very rickety beds- Beds lacked bedside chargers; had to charge phone with power bank and put under pillow- Lockers were outside rooms, making it a pain to move items in and out of rooms- Bathrooms' smell was uncomfortable- Upper floor hallways and bathrooms were uncomfortably muggy, and dorm rooms too air conditioned- Dorm room had one drawn curtain and one blaring air conditioner, often dark - The hostel might have better reviews than it warrants because Poutine Night is free for five-star reviewers
