    Pros +

    • This is an enjoyable historic hotel. Lots of history and great set of pictures to see how it was. The restoration and historic feel is mazing. staff in the kitchen did a great job, Front desk staff was great. The Texas Jack room, we had was great.
    • It was like stepping back in time. The staff was amazing and so accommodating. Always available to help and so incredibly friendly and sweet.
    • The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast room needs a bit of ambiance to add to the experience, we discussed with staff and he seemed amicable to the suggestion.
    • When you arrive you receive a letter is in the bag describing what your offered at breakfast where it was very specific. They didn't actually have most of the list for us. Not a big deal! Still very nice experience.
    • The afternoon/evening staff wasn't great. He was rarely at the front desk and he was very disorganized. We almost didn't get to check in at arrival because he couldn't find our key. He wasn't rude or impolite but he didn't seem to care about his job.

    the history of the hotel

Not a huge selection for the continental.

    Beautifully restored building.

Overcharged multiple times and staff are not empowered to reconcile issues, lack of training, no management. Very unprofessional. Overpriced for what you get in terms of amenities. Would not stay here again.

Rooms were themed and absolutely gorgeous. Clean and spacious and close to downtown.

Paid and reserved restaurant on site ahead of time and was told it was closed upon arrival which was disappointing and was given gift certificate back instead of refund for the meal we paid for ahead of time.

loved the grand decor and preserved history. enjoyed our charming room and no TV.

the main entrance was so far from the parking lot

Friendly staff, pretty room, close to walk to shops. Free, basic, continental breakfast. WiFi good. Historic feel and artifacts nice. I liked sitting on the porch in the sun relaxing.

Breakfast not available. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was very good.

It felt very special to be staying in such a historic hotel. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Plus beautiful decor. All individually styled too. The bathroom really felt 5*. Also a great restaurant and bar downstairs with lots of Buffalo Bill mentions.

Breakfast is in a cellar which felt a bit odd when they have lots of empty space on the ground level with windows. I appreciate this is used for other purposes sometimes though. Breakfast didn't quite match the rest of the hotel though.

Beautiful historic hotel. Spacious room and lovely community porch, sitting and lounge area. Nice complimentary breakfast. Good bed. Excellent restaurant next door.good coffee & bottled water in the room.

No non-dairy milk for coffee or granola at breakfast.

Property was beautiful and full of history.

The only issue we had were crackers in the floor from the previous guest. We mentioned to the staff upon checking out. All she said was she was sorry, didn’t offer any kind of discount or credit for another stay.

Beautifully maintained historic hotel and restaurant. You could feel that it is still an integral part of the surrounding community and local culture

Right across the street from a busy train track.

Better than expected in so many ways - atmosphere, history, details, and especially the friendliness of staff. Very dog friendly too!

Our room had a tub shower which was not so easy for me at 6’ to wash up in. Also room next to roof top units was a bit noisy as there was an event going on.

We stopped for the night as we were just passing through town, but we wishes we could have stayed longer. The hotel is wonderfully historic and beautifully renovated. While the rooms are on the small side, there was more than enough space to get around. We lived the room decor too! The breakfast had all the things i like: fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade pastries and teas and coffee. We will be back!!

Breakfast excellent. Location was also very good and overall preserved the extremely well.

Would like options for more lighting in the rooms

It’s a charming, historical hotel. Room was very spacious, clean and had a wonderful authentic decor. The bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated and it was also very large (no shower but a huge tub). The staff was friendly and very welcoming. The room was also very well stocked with great quality bathroom products as well as a coffee machine, water bottles and earplugs (which we didn’t end up needing despite the proximity to the train tracks). The daily fare includes breakfast which was well appointed. All the rooms are unique and dedicated to famous characters of the Wild West. (Like Buffalo Bill). There is a restaurant on site that has a great menu.

Authentic historic property, interestingly and nicely decorated. The restaurant was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the linens very nice.

Our particular room was rather small, as was the claw foot tub. We saw a larger room with larger tub and will ask for that one next time.

Our stay at the Sheridan Inn was amazing. The Inn has been restored and maintained true to its history and is just beautiful. Yet, it has all the amenities one would expect in a nice hotel. One caution: There is no shower; the claw foot tub has a hand sprayer to use for showering off while sitting in the tub. Someone with physical limitations may have difficulty getting in and out of the tub. The Sheridan Inn is located just a block from the main street with all the old shops, restaurants, and bars. The continental breakfast was excellent; fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, meat, eggs, etc.. For more historical experiences, go to the Mint Bar on N. Main Street!!

    We loved it all!!

Quaint little place. We like to stay away from the chain hotels and try new "local" places. This was a real treat. Very comfortable and very clean. Such a nice jewel hidden off the beaten path!!

The parking is not the best in relation to the front door. It is a long walk with luggage.
