    Pros +

    • Large room and bathroom, had microwave, mini fridge, high tech air purifier, wardrobe, very large windows, tv with lots of channels. Historic three story building with an interesting history, lots of rooms and lounge areas to explore
    • The location was great.
    • Palace hotel is right on main street in Port Townsend. With free parking. Lots of restaurants, the weather was delightful. Fun to stroll main street on a warm fall evening.

    Cons -

    • The particular room we had was right above the exhaust vent from a pizza shop below. The shower was smaller stall type. Pillows very soft (if you prefer firm). Stairs only to upper rooms. Gravel parking lot in back but no entry to hotel from back side
    • Reserved a room with a king. hotel overbooked, gave us a room with a tiny bed and a bathroom down the hall, charged us for a king sized room and said oh well, it wasn¿t our fault, the online company did it. Very disappointing. I¿ll never stay there agai
    • A front desk clerk was a bit rude. Perhaps she was having a bad day. It wasn¿t a big deal.

Beautiful, historic hotel set in the middle of a charming town.

A front desk clerk was a bit rude. Perhaps she was having a bad day. It wasn¿t a big deal.

The ceiling in the room was approx 14' high. Amazing.

The building is charming, but it was built in an era before anyone thought much about "noise privacy." In short, I could hear a fair bit of what was happening in adjacent rooms.

No elevators rooms all 2 flights up no handicap rooms not a hotel for seniors or handicapped people Very disappointed

It¿s 1920-30¿s ambiance gave it great character and style. It has a built-in stair master going to the second and third floors; no elevator in evidence. Be prepared to haul your bags up to your room.

We actually liked the stairs though some will not.

Very clean and well stocked with all things needed.Very professional staff.Fun experience.

The room always smelled like the pizza restaurant below - hot greasy oven smell.

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 9-27-2020

The hotel is wonderful. It’ is dog friendly, but no elevators, and staying in the loft with a pet was a bit of a hassle for 4 big flights of stairs. Even for hauling luggage. Wonderful stay, right in the heart of the historic district and walking to eve

    No elevators

The character, history, and charm of the entire building plus the modern design and amenities, it is so close to the water, the staff was friendly and welcoming - we really couldn’t ask for anything more. Very, very cool hotel and we loved it!

Old Victorian character and incredible style inside that is unique; it's like stepping foot into a different time period, yet with all the comfort amenities one would expect in a modern facility.

Nice theme, clean and good location.

The neighbors were loud, early in the morning.

Love boutique hotels. The Victorian styling and the claw foot rub on my room was a big plus.

My room smelled like Shepards pie/onion soup. But that's probably the restaurant below. If I was staying longer I probably would have asked to be moved. Windows were a bit tough to open. Otherwise not a bad stay :).

Loved the history of the place.

Too many stairs for our old bones.
