Ocean Sands Resort, Oceanfront, Virginia Beach by Vacatia

The staff was very friendly. The location was wonderful. The room was very clean and the layout of the room was very nice. I will definitely be booking again.

The location was nice for easy walking to local haunts. Free Parking on premises with easy access. Spacious rooms with balconies as an added bonus. Great for beach views even in the winter. Having to experience two different rooms. Both had plenty of room for a party of two. Pool and surrounding accommodations were average.

When going to take a morning shower, we found there was no hot water. Maintenance (which were hospitable) was sent to resolve the issue multiple times and could not fix it and we had to take cold showers. Upon going to the front desk to ask for a solution to the issue. Staff were extremely rude (Quinn) especially. We were eventually given a different room which turned out to have a large leak in the bathroom. There was no professional decorum when it came to room issues or possible easy fixes to the situation.

The location and all staff were amazing Every day you had a beautiful ocean view, dolphin pods multiple times a day. Location was walking distance to many family entertainment, food, music and much more. Great refrigerator Stove top. The roof top indoor pool and sauna was exceptional. Nice gym and restaurant

Not very clean bathroom. Tub and bathroom sink dripped, hopefully they repair this, the kitchen counters were damaged from previous visitor cutting on them. Sleep sofa did not have bedding, and was in need of new mattress and springs

The location is great. The layout of the room, with 2 TV's, is nice with the kids. It was myself and two kids. I really enjoy the view and people watching. The room was a little stinky and the baseboards in the bathroom were dirty. But overall, acceptable and enjoyable. All the staff were really good and helpful. This is my third stay here.

Great location, friendly smiles, easy to park your car and walk yo wherever you want to go.

A few things were dated, but nothing major.

The resort is old, we did not know it works as a time share in terms of having the rooms clean and having the towels changed. You have to take your used towels downstairs and exchange them with clean ones. The rooms needs updating. Some rooms have carpet and the carpet smells musky. We complained about it. They sent someone with a carpet cleaner. That actually made the smell stronger after the carpet got wet. Last knight they gave us another room with laminated floors and it was better. Old bathrooms. The air-conditioning unit is loud.
