Pros +
- Atmosphere, cleanliness, Annabelle, and Noctis
- The hotel had an inviting charm. The staff was personable and knowledgeable. The complimentary coffee was some of the best I ever experienced. Also, the beds were incredibly comfortable. All around a pleasant experience.
- This is a charming, comfortable, well located gem. Nothing but good things to say- had a great stay, nice people, comfortable room.
Cons -
- Room was extremely small. Walls were very thin. Noise from upstairs was incredibly loud. Hardly any food options nearby
- My room had one window which looked into the hallway of the hotel and NO BLINDS and poor curtains which did NOT dim the room. I couldn?t fall asleep for hours. Once I did I woke at 3:00 thinking the sun was up it was so bright. It was AWFUL.
- There was no breakfast with few options nearby. Even coffee would have been nice. No maid service. In the two days we stayed.

The hotel itself and the room were quaint and inviting

We loved the historic feel of the hotel. The workers there were so nice and our room was beautiful.
The elevator was a little "touchy", it didn't always come to our floor when we pressed the button.
The bed was comfortable. Easy check in and a pleasing atmosphere.
The location was convenient to downtown including the convention center where we had a conference.
Breakfast is not included and breakfast options are limited. Some of the front desk staff were rather disengaged.
Location, character, room size, staff friendliness
Bathroom was a little dark and had a very low ceiling
Character, close to our event
True old building - in an area our daughter said was questionable to walk or park in...
I love the concept behind this hotel. How cool to convert a whole bunch of row homes into hotel rooms. Such a better feel than just going to a flagged hotel.
The major issue was we had one of the interior rooms which basically has no window to the outside. It¿s only to the closed in breezeway that provides access to the rooms. It makes for pretty good sleeping because it¿s dark but we like natural light¿
Location. Classy. Excellent bathroom experience.
I heard people walking upstairs and entering the exterior hallway as well as their morning alarm.
I like the way the hotel is carefully build into the preserved historic structures.
My room in the Carriage house was very small. The restaurant was closed.
the history, the size of the rooms, the courtyard.
It needs more convenient parking.
The fact that I was there for just one night.
Poky, cold rooms; heating unit, in the room, noisy as a jet engine; soiled comforter; bashed furniture; internet intermittent; no parking; the ceiling was so thin I could hear every word spoken by the people in the next room
Location, easy parking, front desk.
I liked everything. I wish i had a mini fridge to keep items cold.
Loved the atmosphere and courtyard view. Old downtown brick building renovated and upscale with brick and wood decor. Like the upscale decor with old wood painted Nonworking fireplace, Gold Mirror added class & elegance nice comfortable bed.
No Parking is a hassle. Had to walkfrom a garage to the hotel since it is downtown Richmond. As single female alone this is an issue. No carpeting or area rugs on the floors. Continental or buffet breakfast would be excellent.
Large, well appointed room. Historical, good location
I like the homey feel the room gave. It feels like walking into a home and not a hotel. Really loved how spacious and open the room was and it still felt very cozy. The fireplace could be covered better.
If your planning to come with kids this is not the place. You can't hook anything up to the T.V. for the kids to enjoy. Not many channels. If your looking to get away for a couple of days this is the perfect place to go.
