Best Western Plus Goliad Inn & Suites

The staff was great. Also I was expecting a continental breakfast but got a hot breakfast. The hot break was good.

Very large king ¿suite¿ with mini fridge & microwave (it¿s all one huge room), and tons of free parking. Knowledgeable & friendly Night/Morning Shift staff who call to make sure you¿re still coming if you arrive late.

Had to use service phone each time I needed help (no staff at front desk otherwise). Breakfast options light on protein and aren¿t very allergy-friendly (just yogurt, cereal, fruit, Hostess muffin/buns, DIY waffles, or premade sausage-&-egg sandwiches).

The desk clerk was very helpful. Comfortable beds too.

My daughter found dirty clothes under the bed and the hotel coffee wasn¿t very good.

The night staff person was asleep & I waited nearly 30 min. to get into the hotel. I called with the provided phone outside the locked door, atleast 10 times. I also called using my cell phone & nothing. His response to my reservation..."wow, seriously"!

Price, location, & new hotel atmosphere very nice.

Just a hiccup with first floor ice machine dispensing dirty ice. Needs to be sanitized. Otherwise great experience

The hotel was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the hot breakfast as well.

The bathtub/shower was very slow to drain. While showering, we were having to stand in a puddle.

Was nervous when I first came to the city, the manager took his time and explained to me that it is a very peaceful city of course it is. The hotel room is very clean with friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

I will never stay at another hotel in Goliad. Years ago, I did stay at another hotel; it was not a good experience. We go to Goliad for Market Days and meet with 4 of our Goliad-born cousins (Vargas). Our mothers were born and raised there. The manager does go the extra mile for me due to my mobility issues; it is much appreciated. The rooms never disappoint as they are consistently clean, especially the carpet and bath area. The entry as well as the breakfast area are incredibly spotless, too. I make sure the room is ready so the housekeeper/s can easily clean after I/we checkout. Awesome, it was delicious and HOT.

Upon entering my room, I noticed it smelled of smoke, despite being a non-smoking room. I would like to see the property add a mild air freshener for individuals who have allergies to the smell. I could have asked for another room - I wasn't sure if the smoke smell would be in the room.
