Pros +
- So close to Mt. Rushmore. So many activities. Clean. Best KOA/campground I've ever been to.
- The activities! Our kids ages four and 12 loved this place! We had so much fun
- The pool, play area, jumping pillow, and location
Cons -
- No good coffee anywhere around. Poor wifi. No reasonably priced groceries anywhere close.
- There was a snafu about our reservation. Our family did not get adjoining rooms as requested. They were unable to accommodate. We spent the days apart from each other a lot but made the most of it
- Room could use updating¿comforter was threadbare. I also tried reaching the hotel directly multiple times and could never get through to anyone.

All the free activities for families to do: volleyball, giant chess, basketball, swimming, gaga ball, mini golf, etc. there were many other paid activities to do to if you were interested. It was like a mini town!
Lodge staff not too friendly. No room maid service at all (no trash pick up, no clean towels, etc.). For longer stays, this was a problem.
It was a huge surprise. A KOA complex with cabins and campers. The Lodge we stayed in had a balcony with incredible view. Lots to do in the complex as well as a great location close to Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Black Elk Peak.
The restaurant on-site was closed for the season. There was a fast food type option but we wanted a real meal. Good thing is it¿s pretty close to Hill City that had restaurant options.
It was just an average room.
From the listing I didnâ≢t know it was part of a koa with cabins campers and hundreds if not over a thousand people. I didnâ≢t want that busy of a place. The desk staff was nice at checkin but never answered the phone and was rarely at the counter.
Location to Mt Rushmour. Wish I could have taken one of the Stable Trail Rides
Nice KOA for sure.
Room and the Staff. The activities and things to do.
The breakfast could be better.
They were very helpful and out to make sure that our stay was very satisfactory.
The only site restaurant the food was awful and the cook did not seem to care when he was told we were very unhappy about it he said oh well and they did nothing to try and make it better. Even after none of our food was eaten they still charged us.
The hotel was in a beautiful location and had so many different amenities to use.
