Wyndham Newport Onshore

We show up at the hotel for our tonight. Stay with another family. We were told when we got there that we had been bumped and we no longer had a reservation. We had no notice. They said that?s what happens when you book a timeshare hotel. Never again.

The view was amazing, the 2 bedroom suite was huge and everything was pretty up to date. There were 2 decks with plenty of space and parking was very easy. We were able to walk to everything other than the mansions, which was a very short drive.

We checked in after 5:00 so had to go to another location to get the keys. It was a little hard to find since many buildings had the same number so it would have been nice to send some instructions on how to find it when giving us the alternative address

Location and value. The hotel also appears to be recently updated. We loved our two bedroom. Tons of space with a good view and easy access to everything in Newport.

The location was right on the water and walking distance to all the restaurants. The room exceeded expectations with two balconies and tons of space. It was also updated and very clean. Great experience all around.

Check in was in a different location than the room. The hotel should have communicated this to us ahead of time.

Location and views the room had been updated so it was beautiful.

Very thin walls, could hear neighbors talking and hear the vomiting in the morning.

Renovation needed yesterday but it is planned for November so noworrries.

The room was subpar from the stains in the tub to the chipping of the mirror The room needs a complete makeover. To the staff member a checking taking a phone call while I was checking in to then having to leave to check on someone.

Location and the size of the unit

The location is perfect. The front desk staff was very friendly and personable.

I liked the accommodations and the location.

I was basically cornered by someone named Chris in the lobby when checking in. He was trying to get me to go to a seminar about a timeshare. I'm assuming it was for Wyndham resorts, but I told him that I was not interested. I was just there to spend a few nice relaxing days with my husband. He wouldn't relent about why I wouldn't want a free 7 day stay at the resort just for attending the seminar (I believe he was also asking for $60.00 to attend said seminar ?). He basically admonished me for paying what I did for our trip but did not want to take the seminar for a "free 7 day stay". I was finally able to leave the office/lobby so that we could get to our room. When I got to the car I had to explain to my husband what took so long and how annoyed I was with the interaction upon checking in. But the real kicker and what annoyed me even more was the fact that a few hours later, he actually called my phone to try the entire spiel on me again! While we were out and trying to enjoy our time! We did not go to Newport to get harassed by someone trying to sell me a timeshare! We just wanted a relaxing few days away and this guy Chris almost ruined it because he put me in a foul mood. Seriously, actually calling someone when they are out and about is just plain rude. I have been to the resort 5 or 6 times in the past, but now I'm second guessing if I want to book another trip because of what transpired. ?

They lied to me me. Parent company cancelled my reservation for the weekend, 4 hrs before check in.We love the property. Be careful if you book with them

Great location, two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, nice kitchen and living areas. Nice indoor pool and the outdoor oool and BBQs must be great in the summer. The front desk staff was super nice and helpful.

Strong air freshener in the lobbies and hallways.

Spacious well laid out two bedroom property in heart of Newport. Clean, staff are friendly and helpful . Parking available for no additional charge Good value

Indoor pool was grim (clean but not anyplace you’d hang out). 10 am check out

This hotel was amazing , spacious , full kitchen, 2 baths,dining area , fireplace living room and table for 6 both inside and out on balcony. There are balconies on both sides of unit ?Then location was perfect walk to everything we were doing. The staff was helpful and kind. Will stay again !!

The view, location, how spacious it was and price that accommodated 6.

Parking spot too tight, no explanation on how to get into lobby of room building (scan room key, push door and the pull to open), ice located in different building on property.

The layout of our room was perfect for the 5 of us. Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen, and clean.

The room could have more and better lighting. Kitchen was dark, we had to ask for another floor lamp for the living room and the bedroom with the twin beds needed more lighting.
