    • While staff is overworked, they were amazing and helpful. Bartender checked us in!
    • Great price great location. Nice wine room.
    • The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.

    Cons -

    • Very updated. Felt like I was sleeping on coils. Mold on shower curtain. Security lock was broken.
    • Hotel is rundown and in need of updates. Lacked emergency exit information, not staffed well enough. Bathroom was small and awkward to use. We had a ¿suite¿ with second bedroom bed against wall. Worn out furniture. Electric overtaxed. Ceiling stained.

The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.

Be extra careful when ordering Uber eats. Somehow both times I ordered, they had trouble finding me. Even though I specifically said where I was in the notes.

    Old charm.

I was quoted --- per room . When we arrived they charged ---. For both rooms.

We stayed in the apartment and it was lovely. I didn¿t realize the kitchen was furnished with basic kitchen things. That was a nice surprise. It was also very quiet.

Not that I can think of.

It is quaint. Nice bar and excellent restaurant downstairs.

I had a time getting in/out of the room because of the lock. It is an old school key, not a card swipe system. The key turns a deadbolt to lock and open the door, and I struggled with it every time I went in or out. No ice machine. Inconvenient parking.

Location to Honesdale was very good. The staff was friendly. The bar looked great though I did not utilize it for this trip.

The room lacked upgrading for an old hotel. The floor was severely slanted. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The air conditioning never fully cooled the room. I felt like I was at a halfway house.

Once Upon a Time it must have been a beautiful hotel. The doors are tall and beautiful the staff was very friendly

It had a very dingy feel there was no Lobby the carpet was very detached from the floor

Well-preserved old hotel with beautiful details & flourishes. Great old school atmosphere with the bar/restaurant downstairs. So much local character proudly exclaimed by staff & regulars and heritage-rich interiors. Peaceful & well-run. Feel like a local

Not for people looking for a generic, vapid, modern amenity-rich experience. This is a place that will accentuate the experience of being in and trying to understand

Great bar and restaurant. Almost two hundred years old. Wide hallways and stairways. Interesting to see the structure same as it was. Rooms were clean but unatractive. Old poorly done renovations from the fifties.

Charming old hotel with a nice bar in a walkable town.

    10AnthonyPosted on: 1-5-2016

The hotel was very old fashioned but very clean and sports an excellent restaurant, with a great wait staff.

They had good food but not happy about any thing else

No elevators you could not close the bathroom door when sitting on the toilet, handle come off in my hand when I went to flush the toilet also the TV had a mind of it's own I was watching one channel and it just changed to something else.

Convenient for my purposes. Hotel is well taken care of for its age. Free wi-fi.

Could have a better continental breakfast. I would stay there again.

The location downtown was convenient. The building has some beautiful architectural features. the room was small but clean and efficient.

Exit door was dead bolted when I attempted to take bags out in the early morning. the stairway was very dark and only lighted during the evening hours. The only staff member on duty when we checked out could not give a receipt or check our billing.

The town is very quaint and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Very easy to park at the hotel and grab breakfast in the morning on the way to Elk Mountain (try Camp Umpy's down the street!) Try the excellent hotel restaurant - Bistro 1202!

The hotel completely met my expectations - the rooms are older because it's a historic building, no complaints here.

Broken AC. Went out to my car at 2:00 am and the guy locked me out of the hotel. The guy was rude and was playing music loud so I could hear it in my room.

    RUN !!!!!

the whole concept. Key did not work unless you push the door in and then out , Bathroom was so small my husband had to bend to take a shower. Sink was in the middle of the room . Air conditioner was behind a curtain that you could not keep open for there was a building right next to it with a window . Definitely not worth what we paid , would never recommend it

    Friendly, accommodating staff.

Room needs to be modernized. Areas of bathroom floor were soft
