Overall good experience, good stay with family, enjoyed my peaceful stay.
The hotel was close to the airport.
This Hotel was for extended stay, there were no dishes in the covers, no dish rag, the smell of funk was in the room, and my daughter saw a roach in the room, they do not clean the room until end of the week no new soap or towels unless you ask

Top Tips
- Book your hotel 6-12 weeks ahead of the US Open (late August to early September) to avoid a 25-40% price increase. Event venues are 2-4 miles south of Whitestone at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Compare flexible cancellation policies when booking during major events.
- Plan for a 15-35 minute drive to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) outside peak hours (6-9 miles from Whitestone). Budget 30-60+ minutes during rush hours, and confirm taxi or rideshare availability in advance for early flights.
- Whitestone-area motels often provide free or low-cost onsite parking, saving $15-$50 per day compared to Manhattan hotels, which typically charge $40-$70 daily. Confirm parking inclusivity and availability when reserving your room.
- Allow 10-25 minutes by taxi or rideshare to the Flushing-Main St 7 train station, as Whitestone has no direct subway service. Explore hotel shuttle options if available for added convenience.
- Call your hotel to verify accessible room availability and request written confirmation 7-14 days before arrival. Many older properties have limited accessible inventory or step-free entry, so check for features like visual alarms and ramp access.
- Major hotel chains in nearby Flushing (Hilton, Hampton, Sheraton) usually offer faster Wi-Fi (50+ Mbps) and dedicated workspaces, which can be less consistent in smaller motels. Confirm workspace availability and in-room desk options before booking.
- Request a room away from Northern Boulevard, Cross Island Parkway, or the Whitestone Bridge to reduce traffic noise, especially during 7-9 AM and 4-7 PM peak periods. Earplugs or a white noise machine may provide extra comfort.
- Bring snacks or confirm vending or kitchenette access for late-night arrivals, as residential Whitestone has limited 24/7 food nearby. Flushing, with more late-night and international eateries, is 2-3 miles away by car or taxi.
- For multi-day or event stays, ask hotels to confirm parking rules in writing, especially during the US Open when free lots may have limits or closures leading to towing or fees. Request special event information at check-in.
