Sara Placid Inn & Suites

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel, and the easy check in process.

I thought it was a little pricey for the size and features of the room.

Big apartment

baseboard heat was awful. We were at hockey until late at night. We were damp and cold. It took several hours for the place to warm up thanks to the ¿away¿ function. Only one thin comforter was t enough. Then heat finally came on too hot. Bed hard

Over all very nice, clean easy accessible in an nice environment.

Convenient location. Comfortable beds.

It was a little shabby. I would not stay there again. I thought the price was way too high for what we received. And there wasn't ANY personnel around at all. The walls are paper thin.

It was a retro style motel convenient parking and an oversized room.

Comfy beds; immaculately clean; baseboard heat (not a "blower"); convenient to center of town; friendly people.

The Sara-Placid Inn is a very good value for the price. The room & bathroom were very clean; though did show their age with some stains on the sinks. The beds were clean and comfortable. The location is close to downtown Saranac Lake and an easy drive to Lake Placid. Communication via text was usually prompt, and appreciated.

Winter in Saranac Lake is a given to be snowy, and it snowed just about the whole time we were there. We were surprised at how poorly the entrance and parking lot were plowed. Though the walkway in front of the rooms was usually clear, access to the parking lot wasn't well-shoveled.

The room was clean and the temperature of the room was great. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. There were plenty of towels. One of the lights had a short in the switch, which we thought was the light bulb. So the staff replaced it, but there was still the problem after.

It's a scam. Don't do it. They'll just rob you.

It's a joke. They stole from me. And I didn't even stay there because they didn't send my check in information until after I got a room elsewhere. They also have never answered their phone. Not once. Scam

Very outdated. The bathroom is as old as the building. Lots of rust. Looks dirty even when it's clean. The "carpet" is disgusting. Based on the condition of the room, they are charging way too much money.

The radiator in the bathroom was rusted. The clothes hanger was so high, my wife could not reach it.

Nice and convenient, good location, good value. Check in is super convenient. Overall we really enjoyed it.

The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors snoring.

It was evident some updates had been done such as new air conditioning system. New refrigerator, new carpeting. Keyless entry and online check in and check out was nice.

The furniture in the room was quite old and scratched, the heat vents in the bathroom were all rusty, the water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. With one minute being hot and the next being cool. The bed was hard and the pillows were not fluffy at all. The walls must be paper thin because I could hear everything from the room next-door.

Very smooth operation. Clean. Comfortable. Park right in front of room.

Basic Adirondack motel in a convenient location w/refrigerator, microwave, etc.

Well worn, could use renovation. OK to spend a night or two, but you may want a place with more amenities for a longer stay or a vacation stay.
