    Pros +

    • Very friendly staff, clean room and the welcome drink.
    • I like the courtesy drink they give you upon booking a room. I also like how cheap the rooms are
    • Some pieces of furniture laying around neglected. On lthe hall near the window.

    Cons -

    • Hotel is kinda run down. Our AC was blasting the whole night and the room was freezing. I couldn't wake the 3 other strangers in my room. The bunk beds were not super comfy
    • The hotel was great.. The street where is located is a little bit spooky. Coming back from. MANHATTAN after 7:30pm atnight time is a challenge
    • The room was extremely cold. The area is not relatively safe compared to other LIC. Need more security.

The location is relatively close to the downtown. And, it is clean and affordable.

The room was extremely cold. The area is not relatively safe compared to other LIC. Need more security.

Funky fun spot! Best place for a cheap bed near the city!

    8AnnePosted on: 11-20-2023

It was comfortable, chrrrful and homely.

    Kitchen was a bit unclean

    10BienvenidoPosted on: 2-18-2026

close proximity to everything, food, shopping, train stations

bunk beds do not have privacy curtains

    5AnitaPosted on: 2-15-2026

    The privacy.

The very cold room with only a space heater to keep it warm. The broken bed. The thin walls and or windows that allowed me to hear convos throughout the night. Seeing the mildew bottom corners of the bed.

I liked that it was easy to get to the subway and that there was a fantastic Indian place like 45 seconds away.

I didn't like how small the shower was or that it didn't always feel super clean.

My first time in NY and thanks to the TLN it was amazing, perfect location, so calm and great vibes, everything you need, so clean, so trustworthy, way more than perfect in all aspects, very secure, everything was amazing

Nothing!! So in love with the place

Location was great and staff at front desk so friendly and helpful, especially right before a snowstorm!! Thanks so much for exceeding my expectations for a NY hostel!

    5Zong-ruPosted on: 1-27-2026

Bathroom is clean. Bedroom is clean. Can early check in. Location is convenient.

AC or heater is very noisy! You have to use to sleep with ear plugs. Their cafe provide a free cup every day but they was run out of tea.

Absolutely loved the location - 5 minute walk to the nearest metro stop, and from there, 15 minutes to downtown Manhattan. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the heater had many adjustable options so that we could always be at the temperature of our choice. Balcony view was stunning! Although I didn't use them, I also appreciated the communal bathroom option and the first-floor kitchen with all appliances.

The shower head was very high up on the wall and was hardly adjustable, so I had to huddle in the corner if I didn't want my hair to get wet. I'm not sure if it was like that for every room, but a shower of that height is fitting for someone probably 6'2 or taller, at minimum.

Very clean facilities and nice staff. The rooftop has great views of Manhattan and the subway is only a 3 minute walk from hostel. Overall, a great value for NYC.

It's ok to meet urgent accommodation need but is not even as good as shelters so it's over priced.

It's just available n9thing special as a shared space,.

    10JosephPosted on: 1-19-2026

Very clean and price was right as I missed my bus down south so had to stay for a night.

Bunk bed and I had to stay on top. Might be best to have them all in the floor

    8RIEPosted on: 1-15-2026

I like the bar it is open and relaxing. Living rooms are wide, too. The roof top has a nice queens bridge view.

The room locker is under the bottom bed. If you come back late, you might leave a suitcase somewhere in your room.

nice artistic hotel lobby, rooms have decent facility, beds are comfortable.

no elevator, very pricy (maybe it it standard for NYC)

    7KarinaPosted on: 1-14-2026

nice design, nice cafe, good facility

    no elevator

    3VugarPosted on: 1-14-2026

The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. I also appreciated the common area, which was comfortable and convenient for sitting, working on my laptop, and completing my tasks.

The bed linens were dirty and had an unpleasant smell, making the pillow unusable. The heating system was very noisy and disruptive at night. Corridors were extremely cold, especially in the mornings, and the shared bathrooms and sinks were unclean. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not justify the price paid.
