    Pros +

    • Surrounding nature, calmness, and wild animals.
    • The rooms were big. The kitchenette in our room was stocked with everything we needed, clean and large. The location was AWESOME since it was so far off the beaten path that the starts were incredible at night. Beautiful and close to GBNP.
    • I loved how clean it was and how remote it is.

    Cons -

    • $7 voucher for breakfast was too little to have a breakfast. Offering breakfast like buffet can be very helpful to the travellers.
    • Not really. I¿m already going to book a few nights for next year.
    • It was kind of tricky to find and worked best by following their directions rather than using Google maps. You did have to drive to their cabin to check in and then drive to the hotel to stay which was not as convenient as a regular hotel but it was fun!!

The night sky was bursting with incredible stars. I've never seen the milky way so clearly. Deer everywhere. Friendly staff. We stayed for one night on our way to Utah, but wished we could have stayed longer. The bedroom/kitchenette had everything needed. We would love to return.

Beautiful (but remote) location with spacious, clean rooms and a multitude of appliances. Fresh food at the office pantry provides opportunities to cook either in room or on the grill. Close to Great Basin NP.

N/A, but they gave us each a credit at the store and prices were fine and selection good

Room had everything, dishes, convection stove, toaster oven, nice pans, dishes, cooking, and eating utensils. The refrigerator/freezer was ideal. The bed was comfortable, and the fan, the air conditioner, and the lights were perfect. Code entry made it easy to go in and out without a key.

Great place, very specific atmosphere, we really enjoyed. It is quiet place in the middle of nature, under dark sky. We enjoyed cold refreshing swimming pool and jacuzzi.

    10ChrisPosted on: 7-28-2025

The location was amazing. It felt like an oasis in the middle of the desert. It was secluded and down the canyon. The room was spacious and very nice.Looking at the stars at night, wow. Deers all around. The little market store. Very nice hosts. This place is perfect if you are visiting the National Park.

The wind was a total drag but only for the pool. Not a dealbreaker but it was a bummer.

    Location. Friendly staff. Clean.

The king bed in #2 is past its prime.

    10StephaniePosted on: 7-24-2025

It was lovely and peaceful. There was plenty to do with the pool, jacuzzi, and game room, that we didn’t even make it to the nearby national park. The little market had a great variety of- food for vegans and vegetarians too.

The breakfast sack lunch wasn’t great - it was much better to opt to choose your own breakfast items from their store.

    9DanielPosted on: 7-13-2025

It’s a secluded, quiet, well maintained place. The staff are very friendly. It’s basically a little oasis and perfect spot to stage daily excursions from - and retreat to and recover afterwards.

Limited internet access - which isn’t all too bad.

Comfortable rooms with cooking/grilling facilities and a well-stocked store. Hidden Canyon itself is a beautiful place to watch birds and enjoy the high desert scenery. Mostly cloudy but one night we got a glimpse of the fabled Milky Way. A great option in an area without much tourist infrastructure beyond camping.

Lots of water being used to support big swathes of grass. No sure it adds much to the beautiful canyon scenery.

    Peaceful, quiet location. Nice room.

We were given an upgrade upon check-in. However, neither my wife or I considered the room to be an upgrade and we requested that our original room be provided. Staff agreed with our request. Additionally, we bought meat to grill and out of four common area grills only one would light and it produced a poor flame, yet the tank appeared to be nearly full. We cooked our meat in a pan in the kitchen in our room. And, yes, I have extensive experience with outdoor grills. Overall, our stay was good to excellent.

The grocery store had items that you can buy or use your breakfast tokens. I found that to be a better option than the sack breakfast. Even better, bring your own items to cook with. It was dark and the star gazing was phenomenal!

Very comfortable bed and good amenities, beautiful/serene setting and staff was lovely. AC worked well. Just as an FYI, there was NO cell service or wifi, but they did have a landline that you could use to call within the US for free and also a number for emergencies. They have an onsite little market with groceries and some toiletry essentials that is open 3-9pm. It’s also great for stargazing after 9:30pm as all the exterior lates go off.

We booked a suite with two bedrooms, but in reality it was one room with a bed and the with the kitchen/dining area/TV area and then a door to another bedroom. So there was no way to use the kitchen/dining/TV area without being in the bedroom space.

The location was remote, peaceful, and relaxing. The rooms and beds were comfortable, very clean, and had all the amenities. The kitchenette was well supplied, and there was a coffee maker with several quality coffee options, a toaster, a small oven, a hot plate, a microwave, and a mini-refrigerator. Also, had pots, pans, and dinnerware to prepare your own food. Since this is a remote stay, you could bring your own food and cook meals. The owner was really nice in communicating and accommodating. They have a small grocery/market with some food supplies. For each day, you are given breakfast tokens, which can be exchanged for a breakfast sack or other food from the market for the value of the token. The breakfast sacks are supplied with an assortment of foods like boiled eggs/cheese/yogurt/fruit/nuts/muffins etc. It was really helpful to have when we went hiking at the Great Basin National Park (30-40 min drive from the lodging). We were late on the day we arrived (the office is open from 3-9 PM), and the owner was really kind with accommodating our check-in via phone, and delivered the breakfast sacks for the following morning before we even got there. The gravel road leading to the lodging is quite good, although not paved. The owner provided clear directions to reach the location as well as other tips as to places to get Gas/food etc. We stayed here to view the annular solar eclipse (10-14-23). We had a great view of the eclipse from the patio area in front of our rooms. This location is also part of a ranch, so there were lots of apple trees, and we saw a deer family. There's also a stream passing by, adding to the relaxing environment. Overall, it's such a great place to relax and stay, especially if you are visiting Great Basin National Park.

The wifi could have been a bit better, but it is understandable, considering the remote location. If you are staying here, remember you will not have fast internet. So come expecting that.

Fun location, clean rooms, all the kitchen you need

It is several miles down a dirt road, but nothing crazy

    9AlexandruPosted on: 10-26-2024

Good location ('hidden canyon' is definitely correct), comfortable bedding, lots of deer on the property. Credit to pick up items at the store they have worked well (can be for breakfast items or not).

Suggest having a TV also in the bedroom, not just in the living/dining area, especially since internet access is not guaranteed. Otherwise very nice.

This is an incredible property near Great Basin NP. You can explore the property yourself with mule deer and wild turkeys in the lawn. We also drove to the top of the cliff at night and enjoyed the Milky Way in the beautiful dark sky. Our room was a deluxe queen and was large and comfortable. Everyone we met were as nice as can be. A small grocery is stocked so you didn’t have to leave if you didn’t want to.

It’s a canyon so…. The WiFi could be better. If you want to be unplugged this is your place!
