The Monadnock Inn

It was in a charming beautiful old house.

I arrived at 7:00PM and there was not a soul to be found. The front door of the house was open and my room key was left on the desk with a note. As a women traveling alone I would not have stayed if I had known no staff would be at the B&B all night long.

Nobody there when I arrived. Went to get a bite to eat and returned, still nobody there. Another guest arrived and had a different phone number which he called and got a response. The lady came to the hotel about 20 min later and checked us in.

Closest we could get to our destination. Relatively quiet.

We never met anyone on staff. There was a note to greet us (at 7:30pm) and no one was at the desk the next morning. We had booked a room with 2 beds, but they gave us a room with 1, and there was no one to tell. The place needs some love and attention.

Historical importance of house and neighborhood. Charm. Coffee in lobby. We had the place almost to ourselves, which meant we had our own ¿living room.¿

Happy dog down the hall from our room. Internet pretty slow. No info about local history- we found that on our own, but I would suggest that they offer it to all guests!

Easy check-in.

Website needs updated. No restaurant, breakfast. Never saw management of any kind. Had inconsiderate guests holding conversations in hallway awakening us. I know not management fault for that. Needs a good exterior cleanup. I swept up porch and ¿¿d out.

Not a thing

Run down would be putting it nicely. EVERYTHING is old dingy and in need of a deep cleaning. My bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together. Not so bad but they were both a different firmness. No TV or shampoo. Not doing this again

The feel of a place with history.

The maintenance of the hotel is not that good. Rooms could be more updated, lots of things and fixtures falling apart.

It was quiet, very clean and close to local attractions.

The Inn keeper was absolutely wonderful. We had a little hard time finding the Inn but she stayed on the phone with us until we got there. it was quite late so she showed us right to our room. The room was so beautiful.. I loved the stairs up to the bed.

There is honestly nothing I can say that wasn't amazing about our stay.

The breakfast and historic ambiance was great and the Inn keeper was so accommodating.was a great host and really made our stay a positive experience. However, I would recommend this Inn only if they do some remodeling and refresh the furnishings!

Room needs updating. Bedding/curtains were faded/frayed, canopy torn & ill fitted, wood floor in bathroom was discolored with black area near tub. No air conditioner, when it rained it was stuffy! Ceiling torn to allow a pipe in, just shabbily appointed!

The staff was welcoming. This Inn was built back in the early 1800. Our room was very quaint. Claw foot tub in the bathroom. The menu was great although we did not eat there the smells from the kitchen were wonderful .

The night we stayed was very warm for spring time. There was no air conditioner only a small fan. It was too hot.

Super cozy place. Nice original woodwork and tasteful decor. Looking forward to to returning soon!
