Clarion Inn Southern Pines - Pinehurst

I always stay at this hotel because of location, affordability and staffing. Management has been friendly towards me whenever i stay at the hotel always very helpful to me. The staff are nice and friendly as well.

The hotel has been around as long as I can remember so definitely need updates but I believe management is working on that so happy to see that for this particular hotel. Other than that there is nothing I don't like about the hotel.

Breakfast

The pool was empty and in need of repair Paint was peeling off walls in the rooms Holes in the walls The refrigerator was rusty The room cards had to be reactivated every few days There was no phone in the room The furniture was damaged No security

The fitness room was permanently closed, the pool was not functioning nor filled, the ice machine was barely working, they were out of food, coffee, hot water until you had to go tell a certain staff member, there was fighting, yelling and drugs.

The power was out for hours due to weather.

They gave me the key to someone else?s room, the guy was in there. I turned the air conditioner on and roaches came storming out. The sheet was dirty on the side,

The bed was comfortable, the hotel is easily accessible.

First time I have EVER been charged for a service dog. We also had to have our room keys reset at least once per day.

It had a room available.

The room was damp, with gaps around the door (which opened to the outside), in poor condition with plaster falling off the wall, and the lights did not work.

Not much

The nozzle on the shower was loose so when we took our first shower it flooded the bathroom. We changed rooms and the toilet didnt flush. We were highly disappointed in our stay here. Will never return!!

Front desk woman was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet. Showers were nice and hot and excellent water pressure.

First room we checked into was covered in wall to wall  roaches. We changed rooms, though the second room had a few roaches as well, not like the first.

The staff, were great and very accomodating and friendly.

Even though the room was clean there was an occasional cockroach Also, they allowed smoking, and smokers tend to throw butts out where they don't belong and it makes it difficult for staff to keep up.

The bed was excellent. Breakfast was sparce. No eggs, meat, waffles (first day). Out of yogurt, muffins, bread 2nd day with no replenishment. This one was a conference center but would no longer qualify. Exercise room permanently closed.

The owner charged me a security deposit for my service dog. When I explained he was a service dog and no deposit was allowed, she told me it was a security deposit for us. Our friends in another room (with bugs) were not charged. The deposit was refunded.

Nothing at all

Yes there is , the room was half way clean the refrigerator didn¿t work at all , we had roaches we told them about I actually caught one alive put it in a bag and took it to the front desk the only thing they did about it was tell us we can¿t spray

Everything else. Had to ask for a coffee maker. Breakfast was sparse. They were renovating the pool, concrete dust was everywhere, sander and jackhammer noise constantly during the daytime. Some lamps didn't work, the microwave was missing some pads s

The water pressure.

The place should have been closed for renovations. It was filthy, renovation dust everywhere. The pool work was loud jack hammering. There was painters tape with a written number for the room numbers. The room also smelled heavily of smoke.

Awkward to get to. right next to section 8 looking housing, didn't look as safe as I'd hoped. Dirt smudges on bedding, sink was stopped up with oatmeal. Went back to the front desk to talk to someone about it and already there was no one there.

Only a 1 night stay.

The breakfast on the go was lacking. Some of the prepackaged food was questionable for being in date.

That the door had two locks on it.

You pull around back and there is a block party going on. With people back and forth all night. The room had dirty used plastic silverware and other trash on the floor. There was no breakfast. The restaurants and bar are permanently closed inside.

Pool was closed. Hot breakfast was not available. Little bag of stuff they gave us to eat was not sufficient.
