    Pros +

    • Location was amazing, we were a 5-minute walk from the T-Mobile Center, easy walking distance to good food and a wide variety of activities.
    • The history. The ART - in common spaces,in the room. Actual ART, not works bought en made from Pier 1 Imports.
    • The preservation of older aspects of the building from around the turn of the century

    Cons -

    • No hot water three different days I tried to shower no matter what time it was.
    • The hotel was a prime wedding venue, due to this on our first night there was a large party being held. it was a little loud in the common areas, but the rooms were quiet enough even with all of the activity.
    • Parking was difficult, but that was mainly because the road was shut down going one direction. Not the hotel's fault necessarily, but led to some frustration

    Great location

The hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel yet there were issues I would not have expected from a hotel with this rating. Poor bathroom lighting and water pressure and a very slow elevator. We had to walk up 12 flights of stairs one night!

Clean rooms, lobby and hallways. Location.

The address of the building is hard to find. It doesn't have a hotel sign or an awning- they could place a side walk sign indicating the name and address. Whish they had served complimentary coffee in the lobby.

I loved this historical building. Room was very nice and clean.

The air conditioner was very loud. It was a high pitch that you just could not get away from. I turned it off and luckily the room did not get too uncomfortable.

Great location. Cool, high end boutique hotel with a fun bar/club downstairs.

The hotel mistakenly had my room stripped before I checked out. Fine. But many of my items were removed and could not be located for almost 24 hours. NOT FINE. The hotel was apologetic, but it was a massive headache. I won't be back.

    Everything was beautiful

We confirmed a 1-bedroom king room, but when we got there they said they didn¿t have any available so we had a room with 2 doubles. That was disappointing. However, other than that it was great.

The only thing I liked was the close proximity to the T-Mobile Center.

It was not clean. You could see drips down the sheetrocked walls in the bathroom. The floor in the bathroom had a film/scum. There was dirt around the baseboard in the bathroom. One elevator broken. Room was not available when we arrived hotel.

Everything was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful. The room was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The shower and amenities were above expectation.

What a beautiful old building. Front desk was helpful and excited to tell us about the history of the building. This hotel opened in 10/21. They told us we were the first to stay in our room. Great experience and I would definitely stay again.

Only valet parking, off site. But that is to be expected in the city.

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 7-25-2021

Beautiful. Staff was very helpful. Do wish the room had a microwave though.

We asked for the room to be cleaned when out for the day on day 2. Room isn¿t cleaned automatically to bw consciously conservative. After returning they did not sweep under the table and crumbs remained.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 6-15-2021

The bathroom was gorgeous, sleek black tiles on the floor, double doors (mirrored inside) in the bathroom. The hotel is located downtown, within walking distance of all things down there. But it¿s oddly situated between fancier hotels w/ better signage.

Location - there is a coffee shop/book store with the same name ¿Hotel Kansas City¿ that is unrelated to the hotel. Not great dragging luggage around downtown. Hotel is old, but nicely decorated. Not at all a 4 star hotel. 3 stars + .5 for bathroom re-do.

    Good location

Be helpful if hotel would provide self parking options or info on self parking. Parking prices vary at nearby lots and be helpful to have info on public parking. Also vanity light in bathroom was very dim. The glass shower door leaked at the floor.

    Bathrooms

Parking $30, floor dirty, no breakfast, poor quality expensive coffee at coffee bar, loud from streets, didnt meet expectations for star rating

Clean rooms and prompt room service

    10MarcusPosted on: 3-12-2025

The gentlemen at the front door hustling luggage and valet parking are incredibly motivated. I enjoyed their customer service energy.

The hotel was great, food was wonderful, and everyone there was incredibly nice. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for my business trip.
