Spark by Hilton Kansas City Plaza Streetcar

This hotel should not be open. It is under construction and should not be occupied until the construction is completed.

I didn't like that I felt unsafe walking into the hotel, that I didn't find out what a mess it was until I got there and I had spent 8 hours traveling from NY to Kansas City and was too exhausted to search for another hotel.

Price and location

Even though I knew good's going to be renovated soon. Simple things like cleaning the showers better would helpJust because a hotel has older facilities.Doesn't mean it can't be clean

The hotel is very run down and dirty. The rooms were filthy, the air condition was mild at best. The hotel is next to a gas station so all night long all you heard were people's cars and music. Very loud! The beds were awful.

The beds were supper comfortable.

The breakfast was all carbs. No protein in sight.

Toilet doesn’t flush paid for the jacuzzi room it doesn’t work other guest got keys to our room and actually came in while I was in bed

Shabby, not well-kept. Toilet didn?t work in my first room, had to get new tv remotes in both rooms. A/c was mediocre. Pillows were awful but I always bring my own.

The originality the decor the laid-backness of the staff how they don't hassle you whenever it's time to check out how there's a little back patio area

When we slept in and it was 2 hours past check out they weren't banging on the door or threatening to call the cops. Still courteous and treated us like guests

The rooms are really old looking and dusty. I didn't even take a shower after a long drive because I felt cleaner than the shower. Dust everywhere. Carpet from 1950s all stained. Smelly rooms. The bedsheets were clean at least

The furniture was very junky and the hotel was loud with drunk people from the plaza all night.

No towels, broken equipment in the fitness room and mice running down the hallway. Breakfast was toast & bagels. I don?t call that breakfast!

Parking was easy and available, staff was nice, price was good

The beds were very comfy in the front was amazing and super helpful.

The pictures online make the hotel look MUCH nicer than it actually is. There was still hair all over our bathroom, tiles cracked and falling apart in the shower.

Location

The hotel is in disrepair and is supposed to renovated soon. This information was not provided when I booked the room! Housekeeping never came to clean the room. Based on dirty towels in the hall, a number of other rooms weren?t cleaned either.
