    Pros +

    • Overall hospitality-friendly, clean, snacks supplied, charm, comfy bed, attention to detail
    • Wonderful boutique BnB experience. The hosts were terrific and had a terrific recommendation for breakfast close by. Easy check-in process and great communication. Would love to stay another time when we have longer to stay.
    • Just as advertised! Cozy, warm. I felt like I was visiting friends and did not want to go home. Location was centralized, right on a green but very quiet. This will always be my go-to place when I visit Maine 2 times a year.

    Cons -

    • Nope, nothing.
    • The room on the 1st floor is lovely but the furnace is loud underneath. We will stay upstairs next time
    • The heat was typical of older homes but they did add a space heater that made it comfy.

Great place to stay in Lewiston. Hotel employee was very accommodating and let us in our room early. Love all the amenities and extra special touches that made the weekend feel very special.

A lovely old Inn with loads of character and a warm and friendly staff.

The heat was typical of older homes but they did add a space heater that made it comfy.

The inn is a very cool historic building (a former rectory) in the heart of downtown Lewiston adjacent to a park. Rooms are large, clean, with high ceilings, beds are comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. The in was quiet and the pre-programmed locks made it easy to access the front door and room. The innkeeper greeted us upon arrival, showed us around and was available for any issues (though we had no issues). This was an affordable place to stay, which we appreciated. We would definitely return!

    nothing to report here!

We stayed at this location for a wedding not far from The Agora. It was very close. Our room was large and very comfortable. It had everything we needed as well as a very comfortable bed.

The location is very convenient - I walked to Forage. But, of course, the problems with the homeless in the park would be very off-putting to many visitors.

We needed a last minute place to stay in Lewiston to visit a relative hospitalized at Central Maine Medical Center. We took a chance on the Inn at the Agora, and it couldn’t have been better. Besides the convenient location and reasonable price, the place was very comfortable and the hosts vey accommodating. We had an extended family dinner at DaVinci’s, and breakfast at Forage Market. Both are great and convenient to the Inn.

    Nothing!

Beautiful inn, lovely staff! I would love to stay here again. The pillows were great and the snacks were plentiful.

Breakfast was not served at this Inn. There was coffee available in the game room. Prepackaged snack food was also available. The Innkeeper was delightful.

As we drove up to the Inn we questioned the neighborhood because it was very poor. It was safe just poor.

It was very charming. Great staff and exceptional amenities. Very interesting room.

It was in the middle of urban area and there was loud music outside until late at night. Furniture was a bit old and some of them felt flimsy. Bed was saggy and not comfortable. There was not enough power outlet by the desk.

We only stayed for one night as a stopover on a trip from Coastal Maine to Vermont. We wished we could have stayed for another night. The room was beautiful, and the bed and furniture were very comfortable. The shower also had great water pressure. Check-in was very easy, and the staff were very friendly. There was a well-organized binder in our room that discussed the history of the Inn and points of interest in the area that we appreciated. There was also a really delicious Thai restaurant within a 10-minute walk. We would stay at the Inn at Agora again.

Amazing place in a quite rough neighborhood. Historical building with 3,5 meters ceiling height and amazing rooms that respect the historical heritage of this wonderful house. The staff/owners are nothing less than fantastic and give you all you need for a great stay in Lewiston/Auburn. As boutique as boutique can get. Highly recommended - remember it's not the best area in Lewiston/Auburn but you get real value for money here. Do not pay more for standardized hotels located 50 away from this treasure.

    Everything was great :-).

Close to good restaurants. The showers were great.

The Wifi was very poor. Could not Facetime with Family. Not alot of extra offerings. Could not operate the complicated TV system. If breakfast was provided it would have been better dollar value.

    They have thought of everything!!

The area where the inn is located seems a bit questionable. Sat on the front porch with a glass of wine and it seems the locals gather in the park to hang out. It wasn’t noisy and the housing in the area didn’t seem to have much “green space” so I think the park is used for hanging out

    Not a thing!

This hotel is not as represented. Front stairs are in need of repair. The lobby was locked .The area was surrounded by abandoned buildings. We observed three different police vehicles pass the hotel in less than ten minutes. We felt unsafe. After leaving we checked on crime grade.org. The area received an F, the worst possible grade.
