Pros +
- Quaint bed and breakfast in the heart of Salem for a decent price. The included breakfast was an advantage and tasty enough. The room was well kept and tasteful. The bathroom was updated and very clean. Included off street parking was also a benefit.
- How close it was to the towne. We were able to walk everywhere.
- The proximity and walking distance to the square. I also liked the back door/porch entry.
Cons -
- We are not picky individuals and this was truly a good price for a one night stay all things considered. A nicely done Bed and Breakfast.
- They had booked us in a room on the third story of the Curwin House. While it was beautiful, the 2 flights of steps were too much for me. But the very next day they accommodated us by relocating us to a first floor room that was equally as nice!
- The shower smelled musty and moldy.

I love the old charm. Especially the fireplace. Staff was so helpful and accommodating.
The hot water went very fast! Also the split unit in our room 12C was programmed very strange and the heat wouldn't turn on in the middle of the night so it got very cold once the fireplace burned out.
Cute hotel, wonderful breakfast, excellent communication and thanks for parking.
Hard to park on the street but they have the option of parking in another lot.
Location. Walking distance to all sites
Very dated furnishings that weren¿t comfortable. Loud room near ice maker
That it was so close to everything Salem but not in the middle of everything, and that it was haunted but only by a cat.
Location! Five minute walk to the core of Salem and all of its shopping, dining, and exploring. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions promptly.
1. No elevators, nor was this mentioned anywhere on their website or while we were booking our stay. We had to climb two steep flights of stairs with all of our luggage. Definitely a major issue for someone elderly or with a medical issue.
Lovely Inn, large room, keyless entry and location, location, location.
The contactless check-in/out was seamless. The staff was responsive to text messaging, and I always had the info I needed. The room was simple but clean and neat, and the location was excellent--quiet but in walking distance of everything.
Just a small thing. The bathroom had been recently redone, and it needed a small table for guest toiletries. Likewise, the room needed a full-length mirror.
quaint, close to town, very clean, the fireplace was awesome, clean, contactless check in.
window insulation. there was a bit of a draft from the windows. breakfast was ok.
Great location. Good parking. Breakfast was delightful. Air conditioning was excellent and we had a thermostat. Good value for center of Salem.
Stayed in the Curwen House adjunct lodging, a short walk from the main building. On the third floor. No elevator (which was listed in ad). Dragging luggage up stairs was no fun; no help. Bathroom small but adequate. Not fancy but fine.
Stayed in King at Peabody House. Comfortable bed, lovely fireplace and bath nice. Very quiet so I was surprised to see lot full in the am! Enjoyed the sherry left in front sitting room.
Paid for breakfast with reservation but not aware breakfast didn't open til 8am. Had to catch a flight so no breakfast.
Location and ease of checking in.
3rd floor with bad knees. More of a b&b. Priced high but for the location they get it and I Would to if I were them.
The location was excellent and it was nice to have a continental breakfast included. It was very clean
The inn is in 2 locations. The air conditioning noise in the Curwin House was an annoyance at night The pillows were flat and hard There was no refrigerator in the room
The morning breakfast and afternoon wine & Cheese
Parking a block & half away and loading car in the front location no parking what so ever. We were on the top floor no elevators kind of tuff when you are traveling with small children.
Beautiful historic house with wonderful breakfast rooms and helpful, friendly staff. I would not renovate the history from the Inn. I would stay again. It is a plus that it is in walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
The hotel was in a great location..close to alot of the activities we chose to participate in. Within walking distance.
The parking accommodations and the whirpool tub had something crusted on it that we tried to clean off and it would not clean off.
Loved it's character. Appreciated good breakfast. Very wonderful for late accommodations with good directions how to enter, great details. Appreciated family friendly.
When we arrived the air conditioning was way too cold and it took a long time into the night for the room to warm up. Grateful there was another blanket. We were happy when we moderated a comfortable temperature.
There was no tub and the hotel was somewhat off the beaten path as far as Hotel Employee goes. It was the difference between driving and walking; we drove.
