    Pros +

    • Was an affordable place to stay on our trip from Louisiana to Buffalo. Definitely not the prettiest, but was better than the hot car. Felt safe enough. No bugs. Front desk was not particularly friendly or warm.
    • Dirty, unclean room with poop on the toilet seat, sheets not changed, right next to a casino and truck stop, pictures were totally misleading - watched house keeping go onto a room to clean it and they did not change sheets.
    • Good location

    Cons -

    • The rooms are all connecting with connecting doors, even though they have a deadbolt lock I wasn't comfortable with the connecting doors.
    • Smelled of smoke. Cigarette holes in the sheets and bedding. Bed was much smaller than anticipated. When we arrived there was some very loud preaching being played over speakers from down the road.
    • Everything! The front desk guy gave me a hard time about mg service dog, when it¿s credentials were displayed on its vest, housekeeping tried to open my door prior to check out in the morning, when I was clearly still in there with my kids. Bad location.

Basic economy hotel with few frills, but very clean and comfortable. Convenient location.

I chose this motel because I feel safe and the rooms are always clean!! They try hard to accommodate you, even when they are almost to capacity.

    8Verified guestPosted on: 10-2-2025

    No breakfast.

    2Verified guestPosted on: 6-24-2024

Better than expected for the rating.

The hotel is tidy, clean, and well located. The room was well-supplied and the staff was friendly.

    8CraigPosted on: 1-20-2026

Did not experience breakfast but everything else was great for the price.

I had some issues with the television that were possibly just operator error.

    5wiliamPosted on: 9-16-2025

Only that is was on the Highway.

The guy at the front desk act like I was interfering with his day. I had ask for a non smoking room on the first floor when I book the room. I got a 2nd floor smoke room. I will never be back to this place!

    4JaxPosted on: 8-25-2025

Close to where I was working

Smelled horrible, like old cigarettes and cat pee

    7LynnPosted on: 8-10-2025

Price, no odors, microwave and fridge, furniture in good shape, paint and carpet in good shape. Two desk chairs

Needed some scrubbing around tub caulking. The towels and the toilet paper were very rough.

    8KassandraPosted on: 8-10-2025

They were very nice and the place was comfortable. There were a couple cigarette burns on my sheets but other than that

Wow. Where do I even begin? Mid Continent Inn truly redefined the meaning of hospitality — if by hospitality you mean being treated like a burden for daring to check in.The staff? A masterclass in rudeness. I’m not sure if the front desk guy was having the worst day of his life, or if that’s just his personality, but he greeted me with all the warmth of a DMV line. Not a smile, not a hello — just a glare that screamed, “Why are you here?” I’m so sorry for expecting basic human decency with my room key!And the cleanliness? Oh, let me tell you — if you’re a fan of dust, mystery stains, and the thrill of wondering what exactly you’re stepping on barefoot, then congratulations! You’ve hit the jackpot. The room was so filthy I started questioning my life choices. I’ve seen gas station bathrooms with more sparkle. They say you get what you pay for… but I wouldn’t stay here again even if THEY paid ME.Truly the worst hotel experience of my entire life. I’ve had nightmares that were cleaner, friendlier, and more relaxing. Mid Continent Inn? More like Mid Catastrophe Inn. 10/10 would not recommend. Unless you’re into self-punishment — then this place is perfect.
