Location, I have a service dog and there was plenty of grass to take her outside when I needed to.
Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, hotel was clean, close to everything.
The breakfast buffet however, if the choice of meat included plant base or turkey it would have been much better.

Nothing. Worst customer service ever. Management at this hotel is non existent.
Nothing. Old, dirty, smelly and the heat would not go off 80 degrees. The front desk would not move us. Had to pay $29 incidents fee and they charged my card $104. The girl at the desk knew nothing

The staff was nothing but amazing. They were so friendly and helpful. The food was over the top incredible. Everything was delicious. I do wish the cocktails were a couple hours longer or that a cash bar was available for a later night cap.

BEWARE! They fraudulently stole $250 from my bank account. Mgr said GM did it, but GM not there? Said she messaged him but I?ve heard nothing back. The lack of response or communication is very disappointing for a Hilton brand hotel.

Top Tips
- Plan ahead and secure your stay 30 to 60 days before SIUE events, as rates typically rise by 20-50% and availability drops around commencement or sports weekends. Check for free cancellation options, common at national hotel chains.
- Edwardsville is a 25-40 minute drive to downtown St. Louis and 30-45 minutes to St. Louis Lambert (STL) airport. Rideshares or rental cars typically cost $30-55, and parking at most Edwardsville hotels is free, unlike downtown St. Louis.
- For walkable dining, choose downtown Edwardsville hotels or inns, generally 0.1-0.5 miles from restaurants and cafes. If you want more food options and free parking, hotels along Route 157 near SIUE are a strong alternative.
- Most Edwardsville hotel chains provide complimentary self-parking. If parking downtown, check meter hours and payment rules or ask hotel staff for current recommendations.
- During Illinois tornado and thunderstorm season (April-June), request an interior corridor room or a lower floor to reduce exposure and noise in case of severe weather. Review your hotel's emergency procedures for added preparedness.
- Edwardsville's municipal tap water is potable and safe to drink; bottled water is a matter of personal preference. Use a reusable water bottle to support eco-friendly practices.
- Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in Edwardsville, and most hotel chains accept mobile wallet payments. Carry $10-20 for small vendors or downtown meters that may prefer cash or app payments.
- If noise sensitivity is a concern, request a courtyard or rear-facing room to reduce traffic and nightlife noise. Confirm your room placement at check-in and discuss accessible room options if needed.
- Hotel rates in Edwardsville can rise by 10-20% within 30 days of booking, especially during university events or festivals. Sign up for hotel loyalty programs for early alerts and to access extra benefits.
- Illinois state and Edwardsville local taxes add about 10-12% to your nightly hotel rate. Review the total estimated charges during the online booking process.
- Typical hotel Wi-Fi speeds in Edwardsville range from 25-75 Mbps download. Loyalty members at many major chains may receive free high-speed upgrades, so confirm available options with your hotel if you have video conferencing needs.
- Edwardsville offers minimal public transportation, so having a car is highly recommended for visiting attractions beyond downtown or the university area. Confirm parking availability for accessible spaces or electric vehicles as needed.
