Hampton Inn Chicago/Carol Stream (Wheaton Area)

Good location for our purpose.

Staff was not friendly, few smiles and no hello at check-in; she barely looked up from her computer screen. Same whenever passing the check-in desk when coming in and out. Refrigerator in room froze all our food leaving some of it inedible.

Front desk was friendly and helpful

I asked the cleaning lady if she was cleaning our room on my way out one day. She said yes and I told her we were out of conditioner. When we got back the room was not cleaned no conditioner. I had to go to front desk. They said the room was not schedul

Vary friendly check-in. Extremely convenient for reaching Wheaton College, Good places to eat not far.

I recommend moving the chair away from the back entrance where smokers like to sit and smoke. Of course, that means coming in or out, patrons have to walk through the smell, and that smell enters the hotel.

This hotel is undergoing a remodel. Our floor (3rd) was redone, and our room looked very freshly redone and so that was good! It was quiet.

Outside of our floor the hotel looked shabby and poorly maintained. The staff was often sitting outside in the back. The breakfast was lukewarm and not inviting. The bottom sheet on our bed wasn't big enough to fit the mattress so kept popping off!

The room was recently remodeled and it was spotless. I was able to use the refrigerator because it did not have a block of ice like other hotels have. The breakfast was very good, and the woman cooking them was an absolute joy to talk to!

The ice machine was not working on my floor.

Hotel employee, one of the front desk clerk who checked me in on 1/15/25, just talking to her about my sister Funeral really put my mind at ease and I had a good night sleep.. I Appreciate that! Bernadette H.

The staff was nice and the location was good.

The floor in the common areas and in my room needed to be deep cleaned. I manage property for a living and I told the front desk about the issue. They were nice and said the entire hotel would be undergoing a complete renovation soon. Well, ok, but...

How easy it was to get in and out and how it was close to food and shopping but not dead center of it.

The carpet in our room felt like it was well over due for a cleaning and the eating area for breakfast wasn't big enough for even a fraction of the guests to sit and eat.

The room did not have a microwave and the microwave in the lobby was bad quality. The pool was dirty and overcrowded

Staff at reception were friendly, had no issues with check in or check out. Pool was clean and warm, used it 3 times and had it all to ourselves each time. Gym was good too with a new Peleton bike included.

beds were a little squeaky, drapes were loose, wifi was very slow

They clean the room every four days. Even if you requested they don?t clean it. The breakfast was atrocious. I will not be staying here again.

Check in took over 30 minutes at 1030 in the evening. Non working ice machines on 2 floors.

The breakfast was great, and the staff was very friendly. Everything was clean, and the hotel was in a good location.

1. Air conditioning in the room wasn't cold enough, or the unit was the wrong size for the room. 2. Pool was broken.

My room was a bit dingy. Broken pieces on the bed and the AC. There was hair in the shower that wasn¿t mine. Chipped paint on the corners of the walls. Sheets didn¿t fit the bed. Pool was closed. Gym was 95 degrees and dirty and the equipment broken.
