Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head

The location is great. The rooms were nice except the bathroom.

The client service was lacking not very good. The iron in the room was broken and I asked for a replacement but they could not get a replacement in time. They offered to bring me one after house cleaning arrived and I had an engagement that morning. This is certainly not how the W would have handled the problem. It seems like house cleaning may have used a dirty cleaning cloth that smelled up the bathroom. I had to use my own disinfectant wipes to clean it. I didn't bother calling the front desk because of my first interaction with them. They were dismissive. I skipped house cleaning the next day because I did not want the bathroom to smell again.

Room was lovely. Very airy and comfortable. The location of Lotus was ideal - close but not too close to downtown Waikiki. It was great to be able to walk to different beaches and just chill. The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ability to text the concierge and ask for things was helpful.

Sad it was not a direct ocean view just partial. However the view of Diamond Head was stunning.

Location was excellent and rooms were spacious and very clean.

Key cards were constantly demagnetizing. Parking should be included in the price and not considered as an extra fee.

Love staying here! This was my second time here. It's such a great location if you are looking for a quieter, calmer stay. It's away from the Waikiki noise and action, but still close proximity to it - and right next to the gorgeous beach and lovely park. The rooms are spacious, clean and have nice views of the mountains. Staff was always very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Parking is expensive (as it is everywhere in Waikiki), so we didn't rent a car, but used the HUI cars available on the lot, which worked out well. Great hotel, and great value for such a desirable location!

Just fyi the "partial ocean view" really is partial in that you look around a few buildings to see the ocean (but this not uncommon for Waikiki, unless you pay a fortune for your room). So we still enjoyed our view.

Great location, convenient yet quiet

This is a real nice hotel. Reception staff, especially Anne were wonderful, helpful, polite.The room was comfortable with a nice balcony with partial ocean view. Location is calm and peaceful, away from the crowds . The hotel is calm, peaceful and we enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended.

Only 1 elevator to get to the rooms….but really….not a big deal

We booked for the location and were super satisfied! The hotel is surrounded by a giant public park and there is a small beach right next to it, shared by a few hotels. You are also not too far from the bustling Waikiki, only a 15-minute walk. And there is plenty of street parking all around, since you want to rent a car.

The hotel is quite old, as most hotels in Waikiki/Honolulu are, and you can tell. The bathroom needs renovating, the carbon monoxide alarm went off most nights, there is no breakfast option in the hotel, and besides the gym, there aren't really any amenities.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are clean and good - anything you expect was there. Beach towels, seats, and umbrellas for free.

The room was placed close to the AC-machinery - you heard the noise of that machine day and night. There is only one elevator - sometimes long waiting times to go to your room. Parking is quite expensive. The restaurant in the hotel is overrated and expensive. We usually went out having lunch and dinner.
