Pros +
- cold AC, comfortable bed, quiet
- location
- I booked the wrong night through the app and instead of allowing me to change the date both the hotel and the app refused to help me in anyway.
Cons -
- room smelled like pot and I didn't like the fact that after I paid the money for the room, I still had to pay a $50 deposit even though they are supposed to give it back.
- Cheap quality of sheets and not so clean
- We were unable to stay for this trip. The staff was rude and inconsiderate. They lied about their policy and refused to cancel the reservation. They lack compassion and understanding when dealing with families escaping hurricane damage.

Hotel staff rude, AC did not work.
The front desk staffs were engaged in a phone conversation with friends or family and did not acknowledge my presence. Overall, the staff appeared untrained and unprofessional in their conduct. This was an utterly unacceptable experience.
Staff was professional and the room was clean
The breakfast was okay. The room was ok. My refund on the deposit went through quickly.
The person at the desk had such a thick accent I couldn't hardly understand him. While it was decently clean, there were things that needed to be fixed. There was also the smell of perfume on the comforter on the bed. Not my perfume, I don't wear perfume.
Clean
hotel charged my card even before I got there that was not the agreement on bookin.com would like refund on night we did not stay in
Very good and clean
The room was a smoke free room but smelled of stale smoke.
It was just a nice clean room to stay in with friendly staff. Nothing special just clean
Easy to find
Has been recently remodeled ! A few extra touches would make it top notch.
Little things that should have been caught in cleaning! Leaky drain! Latch holes I’d door should have been filled and painted.
Friendly staff, clean, affordable and safe
Very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The sheets were clean and comfortable. Easy access to the highway.
The door was not sealed. You could smell car exhaust and marijuana through the door. The chair was old and stained. The desk chair was lumpy. The security door bolt was broken. The bathroom sink backsplash was stained. One could hear the occupants in the adjoining rooms. In general the residents were very noisy and loud until midnight. The curtains did not close completely.
New vanity fixtures and sink
The front desk clerk when I arrived at 8:30pm was very off putting, complimenting my beauty several times as if gauging my reaction. I was not amused. Upon entry to the room, it smelled like a mix between marijuana and cheap musk spray. The linens on the bed had rips and holes, the sofa bed upholstery was stained -filthy- and also had rips and tears. Out of curiosity, I expanded the sofa to see if those linens were any better… only to met with trash falling out, a stained and obviously unwashed bed sheet. It was disgusting. I removed the sheet in hopes that maybe they will apply a new one for the next guest. Other guests stood outside on both sides of my room and smoked throughout the night so the room smelled worse and worse of marijuana. Mind you, I traveled here for a work event the following day. I decided to hang my clothes in the bathroom and kept the door closed. The vanity fixtures and actual bed looked to have been recently remodeled, and were lovely…but it’s going to take a lot more care and effort for this to be a room I would be comfortable in again.
The room was very clean, spacious, and upgraded, breakfast area was clean and they offered a decent breakfast.

I booked for 4 nights at $452.30. Once in the room, I checked my cc. They proceeded to charge this plus an additional charge of $165 and a 3rd charge for $50. When I asked, I was told the $165 charge was in case it was booked but no one showed up. (Im obviously showing up, im standing right there!) So the $452 has turned into around $700. I have never had a motel do something like this. In addition, we hung the "do not disturb" sign on the door but upon returning there were 2 people in my room. When confronted, their reply was there was no sign. The sign had been taken off and moved to the inside of the door. Please be careful and ask a lot of questions if you choose to stay here. I will edit this review if this gets corrected, but potential guests need to know they are doing some strange things here. Do better Choice Hotels.
As mentioned in many other reviews, this is pretty much the only game in town for a place to stay. - Which is probably why they don't feel inclined to improve their image. Rooms were mostly clean. Nothing was broken or in dire need of maintenance other than the ironing board cover. But any time you leave the room, all you smell is cigarette or pot smoke. And why they even have ANY smoking rooms this day in age is beyond me. I guess it could just be the remote area of Georgia. However, with non-smoking hotel trends being so successful, it is unfortunate that smoking hotels still exist. That said, this hotel does little to try to improve it's reputation. Breakfast on weekends is cutoff at 9am - So no sleeping in. When checking in, I was told that my rooms (plural) were smoking rooms. I informed the heavily accented lady that I had clearly reserved only non-smoking rooms, to which she countered that I was mistaken. I pulled up the email confirmation from 3 months prior clearly stating non-smoking. But she spoke and looked at me dismissively like I'm the problem that she has to deal with. There was no desire whatsoever to acknowledge me as a customer. Look, I know that the hotel industry is a tough business with pretty small margins. And because of that, I don't normally do negative reviews for my stays unless something is really broken. And here, there is definitely a disconnect between the hotel management and the customer. My recommendation to others is to drive a little further. And, a trite response to a negative review saying, "thank you.... blah, blah, blah... come back and we'll do better next time.." - that ship sailed a long time ago. In business, each and every customer interaction is an opportunity to improve upon your reputation and image. And it starts by showing that you care.

Horrible stay
Room smelled bad. Bathroom smelled of urine. There were several men hanging out on the second floor balcony drinking beer and hotel staff apparently allows it. It did not feel safe. Mattress was old and uncomfortable. Pillows smelled. Not what I expect of Quality Inns in comparison to other Quality Inns where I have stayed. Had to stay because there was nothing else available closed by. I will never stay in this property again!
