Artisan Downtown

Beautiful suite on the corner. Great lighting and super comfortable bed. Wonderful staff.

Nothing. It was A+ all the way.

The restaurant is awesome. Real Cuban foods that is great tasting. If you don't stay here, please eat here. You will not be disappointed. I had diner and breakfast that restaurant and cant wait to go back.

As for the hotel, older spot that has received some updating, but needs more. Not a businessperson's hotel. Hotel California come to mind.

Accommodations were excellent and exceeded my expectations. Historic charm coupled with modern conveniences. Large rooms, comfortable beds, and good water pressure.

Walls and windows were paper tin , the fire rescue building is across the street and could absolutely not sleep , we could hear the person into the next room talking in the middle of the night like he was in bed with us … and that was just talking we had to ask for help to get into our room the first night the worker kick the door with her foot to open … broken tiles in the bathroom , the ac is facing the bed so went it’s turn on at night you go under the cover quickly… over all great location but will never stay there again there is no value to treat yourself for a nice gateway and end up with sleepless nights:(

Location was amazing, the restaurant downstairs was perfect, and the lounge looked so fun with their live music. Staff was friendly and attentive. The room was comfy and spacious, felt perfect to lounge in

Biggest complaint is that the roof top bar for the restaurant area was not easily ADA accessible, if you took the elevator up to the second floor, you still had a few stairs to reach out. The roof top bar was also right immediately outside our windows, which honestly didn't bother us, but the dj playing music on Friday night might be a serious negative for some guests

The food downstairs was good, but the staff of a restaurant does not maintain.The cleaning of the floors around the elevator.

Single paned windows made noise from the rooftop bar really loud in my room but they closed by 11pm

It has been renovated

The renovations are not there yet. The bathroom door didn’t close properly and it went of track easy. The worse is that they have a do bar next to the room and do not enforce the bar hours. So if you are coming here to rest it’s not a good option.

A perfect place to stay in downtown Deland. The Artisan offered a bit of a bygone era with modern amenities. I booked the jr. suite. It was everything you needed plus a little more. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and cozy . They thought of everything a person would need fo their stay As a single woman I felt perfectly safe. Electronic keypad locks on the entry doors. The Artisan also offers a restaurant and bar. There was also local entertainment that night.I would definitely recommend this hotel for single or couples.

New pillows for the bed . The pillows were hard and rather flat.

Very nice boutique hotel with a friendly professional staff and comfortable rooms. Great location in Historic Deland.

Close to everything

Noisy at night, plumbing needs updated, toilets did not flush in room and in hotel lobby, bathroom door sticking badly, bed not comfortable, no staff at night to deal with problems. Police busting the door down in the room next to ours in the middle of the night. Sent email about issues and got no response.

I liked the size of suite, the bathroom, nice towels, bed was comfortable , location was good .right down town .walking distance to all the shops etc.

We had to request a coffee machine for our room, and then given paper cups which seemed odd as everything else was very pristine and well thought out . Unfortunately our headboard ,bed was placed against the wall , that also must have had a bed against it , because we could hear the person snoring next door and talking loudly in the Evening and in the morning . Our room was a suite so if that room was also then would have been better to have had a couch against that wall and not two beds back to back . There is also a Cuban restaurant on the ground floor , and a roof top bar ,but on the 2nd floor , neither of which disturbed our sleep .(we were on the 3rd floor)

The location was great. The little sitting room was a very nice and helpful.

There was no view (not much you can do about that). Also there is no place near to get breakfast.

The location was prime, the room was clean and inviting, the restaurant and bar downstairs are both wonderful, and there is plenty of parking. I loved this place. Also, the building itself is really cool. Best accommodations in DeLand!

Location for downtown was great. One day trip to Deland and was convenient, clean and spacious

The convenience of the location to downtown and the decor.

The bed was quite uncomfortable and when the a/c unit in the room was on it made the air and the furniture feel 'very sticky / wet' and had a slight mildew odor to the room. We were only there for one evening because we attended a funeral.

The property is great. Within walking distance of great restaurants.

We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a little bit of condensation on the vent in our bathroom that was dripping on the counter. The gentleman at the front desk was great when we checked in, although the same can’t be said about the other staff. The few times we went out and came back, we were never greeted. It seemed like the front desk staff was totally oblivious to guests coming in and out.

Great location. Excellent shower pressure. Soft bed and linens.

It is an historic hotel, so some disrepair, but they are currently doing some updates.
