Pros +
- The staff is exceptionally helpful. The kitchen is well-equipped, and having a washer/dryer was a big plus after traveling for almost three weeks. It was a wonderful location for restaurants, The Phillips Collection, and the metro.
- Location, staff
- The location was perfect
Cons -
- I didn't like the room's starkness. I wish I had asked for a room on a higher level, as we were on the street level and had no privacy unless the shades were down.
- Dusty and crusty room, bathroom showers didn’t drain, was first put in a basement room
- How dirty the room was and the maintenance wasn¿t acceptable

Location! Staff was wonderful; in particular,  was very helpful.
Breakfast was pretty sparse. Coffee machine didn't work.
It's beautiful!
The location is fantastic, you can take 30 minute walks to george town or enjoy the local restaurants in Dupont Circle Area. The staff are all wonderful and cheerful which gives the place a unique vibe.
Terrific location.Magnificent building — one of the top beaux arts buildings in DuPont Circle.Entire second floor of main building given over to common spaces — nice combo of pre-war grandeur and modern decoration.Renovation created a room that’s very bright and clean. Ceilings were high. All the appliances were very good condition & we had no hesitation using them
What was not kept up well: hairdryer broken, bannister knob broken in room (leaving an exposed spike), many dings / scratches on door and on stairs (-1pt)Some of the value-engineering of the original renovations: rickety old elevator <key point>, quality of plywood in room, and the “servants’ stairs” feeling of stairs to 3rd floor. (-1pt)
location to public transportation was excellent and the staff was incredible. big shoutout to Easu who was knowledgeable and helpful. anything we needed he was more than happy to help.
Easy to get to on public transportation. Great neighborhood and location. Nice amenities inside the apartment. Friendly staff!
Excellent location, clean, comfortable bed.
Nice space and amenities, good location, decent gym, I liked amount of storage in room
Front desk staff was not especially welcoming or friendly, access pin was sent at last minute, room was not serviced during entire stay, no ramp at entrance and generator parking in front of building made it hard to carry bags in and out, hard to access building. Building could definitely use some updates, paint peeling in spots and signs of age in several places.
The location is so great being right in the heart of DuPont Circle and close to everything! Minutes to bars, restaurants and lots of DCs attractions.
Some noise at night
Excellent location for metro, downtown museums and walking distance to food and social activities. Safe and beautiful location
It was a bit noisy around 12-2am with sirens and street sounds…however we were on an external road facing room. Sound proofing might help but the building is older and historic.
Location, facilities, comfort
Price is a bit high
The room was good. I mean there are located downtown and close to all of the amenities. It's nice and clean room.
I literally didn't even know I had to stay in basement in this place which they called courtyard. I couldn't see the view. I noticed that a lot of sand and thick dark dust has coverted outside the window.
Excellent location. Surprisingly well equipped room. I could see this being a very great spot for someone staying a while and in need of a kitchen/studio apartment feeling. Pretty good rate for the area.
Weird verification process, since you don’t check in with a person.Slightly deceptive appearance, since the vast majority of rooms are not actually related to the Patterson Mansion in any way; most are in the “tower” which is just a regular modern hotel glued to the back. Mine faced a bland interior courtyard with zero view. They also rented out the second floor “social space” to some private party, which blasted building-shakingly loud club music until 11 PM, punctuated by loud screams from the attendees. Literally couldn’t sleep until they stopped, since it was essentially rattling my window. Curiously, they say “quiet hours” start at 10.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff
The rooms feel very sterile. That’s not a huge problem but I probably wouldn’t want to stay there longer than a few days. Why is everything white? Even the tiny picture on the wall?
The staff was wonderful, committed, helpful. Especially Tracey and all the front desk folks.
I didn't realize my room was on the cottage level. It was rather dark.
Location was ok, but I don't think this is useful if the room isn't clean
the room was dirty, I found a sock from the previous guest amongst other things. The duvet wasn't properly covered, it is just two sheets, which means that there is not good hygiene to stay there as all the guests will touch the duvet!
A nice walking distance (if you like walking) to everything, and right next to the metro station for things that were further away or for getting back late in the day/evening. Having a fully contained room with kitchen and washer/dryer was very useful. The staff were cheerful and helpful when I had a couple of questions, and the location and hotel felt safe for a solo female traveller.
