    Pros +

    • The ballroom and the main floor are very beautifully done
    • The location the cleanliness and the concierge and bellman were great.
    • Location and cleanliness of the Hotel. The Hotel staff was incredible (excluding the lounge staff).

    Cons -

    • The rooms were very, still looking at the doors were black. The furniture was gray, and it was not very appealing..
    • The person that checked me in was very cold stale and unfriendly. The drinks and the food at the Edgar were subpar and VERY expensive
    • The Edgar lounge staff took 15 mins to greet me. Even when I sat at the bar, I was overlooked and other patrons were greeted prior to me that arrived after me. Even when seated at the bar. This happened 4x consecutively.

    Location and room

The restaurant. It was overpriced the steak was overcooked, no children's menu, and the ravioli tasted like a microwave dinner

No amenities. Poor seating in the lobby. Valet parking ended at 7:00 Gift shop was never open. Only coffee available in the lobby¿. Nothing else Not a four star experience.

Classic beauty of a hotel with extremely comfortable beds and perfectly clean room with friendly and helpful staff. I appreciated the bottles of water at check-in and the very delicious coffee in the lobby in the morning.

    Beautiful historic hotel downtown.

Parking. 35 bucks plus tip. For self park

Location was amazing, so convenient to all DC has to offer. Great gym, usually empty so I felt comfortable working out in these covid times. We didn't bring our pet, but hotel was pet friendly. Didn't hear any noise from neighbors!

Musty/funky smell in the beautiful lobby. Coffee maker in room would have been awesome, rather than going to lobby.

staff was above average. the beautiful front desk representative, the amazing front of house staff who guided my parking and navigating experience with thoughtfulness and honesty. It was all wonderful. I wish I could have experienced the food.

I arrived pretty late and didn't see any options for refreshments, like a 24 hour Cafe express area or anything that could've supported access to snacks, beverages.

    Clean and beautiful facility

Elevators were broken the 1st day but fixed the following days

An amazing historical place with great staff and service

The restaurant is close on Saturday night.

The cleanliness is the only impressive feature.

I was upset that no valet nor self parking was on site. You are made to walk a good half block to the near East parking lot and you are charged $45 a night. You are also charged $15 a night for poor internet service. There is no food served after 2:00 pm

I didn't like the fact the the Hotel Shuttle only went to and from the Airport and doesn't drop you off at the Pentagon City Mall 1/2 mile away. I had to take a scooter.

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 8-5-2021

    Historic significance.

No water, coffee, or tea in the room was provided. Coffee was available in the lobby only in the morning.

    Quietness. Close proximity.

Parking fee is ridiculously high.No coffee maker and microwave in the rooms

Excellent updated historic hotel. Room was large and clean. Bed was super comfortable. A ton of tv channels offered on a huge flat screen tv. Bathroom was roomy with great water pressure.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times before, and have always loved the building, lobby, ambience, level of service, and location. However, the level of service on this visit ranks at a 1 or 0. Nobody at the hotel offered to do much of anything. Sad.

No service WHATSOEVER. The staff may as well not have even been there. Nobody greets you at the door or offers any guidance as to parking or unloading luggage. The bellman pointed to a cart and told me to bring it back to him. No room service is available
