Pros +
- Restaurant service and food were excellent. Housekeeping very good. Very quiet and clean.
- quiet neighborhood and wonderfully maintained building. staff is very friendly and helpful.
- Rooms were very nice and extremely clean. Much appreciated!
Cons -
- Supposedly there was complimentary wi-fi but it did not work. Crib not in room as requested, took three requests. Was also overcharged in error for parking, but was able to get it refunded.
- location is a bit of a walk to the nearest metro station, but not a deal breaker.
- In-house/in-room costs are sky high with all the fees added. And the food is definitely not worth it. My rare burger was ice cold at and two small sodas were double digit costs. Ultimately, my grand total was about $70 for a burger/soda lunch.

Size of room Helpfulness of staff Cleanliness of room
Limited hours of gym Difficulty of accessing pool Attention to detail (tub drain was clogged; water filter on floor was not changed, etc.).
The staff was excellent and friendly. The gym, locker rooms, restaurant, and hotel and gym service were wonderful.
You must book out swimming pool time during the week. Weekend is open swim. A little inconvenient to schedule, but it worked out fine and staff was helpful.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and quiet.
Not really¿we would absolutely stay here again.
Employee at the front desk was great! We ate dinner at the bar and the striploin was the best dish we had all trip.
Awesome location is a safe neighborhood; walking distance to the Lincoln Memorial and about 10 minutes walk to the Foggy Bottom Metro Stop; decent number of restaurants nearby; great room; beautiful inner courtyard; helpful concierge service.
The Fairmont must have forgotten to replace the bathtub when renovated the bathroom. The tub was old and no better than one found at a budget motel. Very odd to have such an old tub in a nice marble bathroom.
The Concierge and Bellman services Customer service
The check-in process was a bit slow as the record couldn't be located and the front desk asked for the confirmation email. However, once that was received, the process went smoothly and I was content.
The smell when I walked in. The light in the bar (big windows). The bar menu was excellent. Loved the cheese plate. Nice sheets and pillows. Sweet people. and Location! I loved being walking distance to Georgetown.
Room and lobby. Beautiful and clean.
The bar staff was too small and we were never waited on.
Location and cleanliness
Bathtub does not drain well
Very sleek and modern always a staff memeber at the ready to help you.
The shampoos were a little outdated, smelled like my grandmothers house.
I really enjoyed the location and cleanliness of the hotel and I thought that the front desk was very accommodating!
The breakfast was not great and neither was the service.
Location and room size and style
First time to visit Fairmont DC since 2005 and it brought back many great memories. Lovely renovation, professional host team and very comfortable and clean room. Gym is incredible! Looking forward to staying on next trip to DC.
Exceeeed expectations.
Unfortunately I had an accident at the Dept of Commerce event and injured my leg. They were very accommodating providing me with wheelchair to get to my room and when I left. Service was excellent, room was renovated and up to standards.
doorman are the best
no complementary water gym is not 24 hours lack of variety of resturants
it's a beautiful hotel in a fairly good location. Room was nice, pillows were good, bed was a little hard.
I arrived at 5:17 and was told that my room was NOT READY. I left and returned at 9:30 and was given a handicap access room. I was not asked if that would be OK and I wondered what they would do if someone arrived that required a handicap access room.
Hotel was beautiful and very clean Staff was fabulously helpful and kind
A few little repairs were needed in the room, little things like the makeup mirror wasnt properly secured to wall, thus making it unusable. These little things weren''t even noticible to my partner.
