Hotel employee was super helpful during our stay there

The insulation between rooms could be better. We could hear conversations from the adjoining room

Convenient for me. Rural, but close to wear I was working for the weekend. Very clean room and responsive staff. Inexpensive.

Definitely needs updating, very thin walls, so if you're neighbor is in the room next door at the same time you are, no privacy. Took 3 days for a cup of coffee. No pot in the room so asked if there was any in lobby. Day 1, no pods, day 2, no cups, day 3 both finally. Staff was responsive but was frustrating that I had to keep asking. Only one lamp in the room and definitely needs room darkening blinds. Overall, clean and comfortable and inexpensive.

It was nice quiet location room was clean Al who did check in was amazing helped out and everything was good

The hotel manager was very pleasant and respectful.

My next door guests were making too many noises till after 12:00 am. They were like moving stuff and talking too loud. I barely slept. Aside from the disturbances, the TV remote control didn't work. Probably, dead of batteries. Moreover, it was no WIFI.

Great value! Nothing fancy but clean and convenient.

Could use some updates

I arrived quite late on Friday but the staff member was so helpful and made sure I got into my room. The room was comfortable and so close to the fair I was attending.

There was a large gap under the door, I used towels to block it and that helped.

Staff was excellent. Grounds have nice spacious places to relax. The hotels cats are very cute and love attention.

Nothing actually. This is our second time visiting this season .

(Note, even though check in time on the booking may mention certain hours, just give them a call once you're there and they'll be there in a couple of minutes to check you in if it happens to be outside hours).Great location if you want to attend the CT ren faire in the area.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. We didn't expect anything super fancy because we got a really good rate and check-in was really easy and the staff even showed us to our room and asked if there's anything else he can do for us. Also there were kittens everywhere!

The rooms were dated and could use a little TLC but they did say that they were in the process of remodeling and the next year things would be a lot different and apologized.

The property looked run down but the room & inside buildings looked very clean.The staff was excellent! Couldn’t ask for better: helpful, always quick “service with a smile”.The location was fantastic.

I got back to my room late after a long event nearby. Didn’t get to bed til 12:30. As soon as I tried to sleep I got so congested, I couldn’t sleep. Tried sleeping in the bathtub- same deal. I’ve only ever reacted like this, to with strong odors from carpet cleaners or mold. Ended up sleeping in my car & left very early for my event in the morning.So my reservation to stay would be to anyone with allergies.So many others gave good reviews so I’m assuming it was the carpet odor & not mold that bothered me.Otherwise it would have been a great value.

Was very close to the Connecticut Renaissance Faire which was the purpose of the stay.

Rooms were dated and not in the best of shape. I was traveling alone but if I was traveling with someone the bathroom would not have worked. The reason I say that is because the bathroom door would not close all the way it got stuck on the floor about 2 to 3 inches before fully closing.

We liked the proximity to the renaissance Faire. It was less than 10 minutes away. The man who checked us in was abrupt but friendly. We also liked that there were several stray cats on the property who were very friendly and cuddly

Our room reeked of cat urine. The carpet, the chairs and headboard were stained in many spots. Bed was hard as a rock. There were only two small lamps in the room and one of them did not work. There were no available plugs near either side of the bed to plug in a phone charger. The room did not have an alarm clock. When taking a shower in the morning, somebody in a nearby room must have flushed their toilet and we lost all water pressure and all hot water. There is a Keurig coffee maker in the lobby but there is no water available to fill the reservoir . We had another single and a couple traveling with us who booked their own rooms. The couple had similar complaints about the condition of their room. And the single traveler got a beautiful room right across the hall from us that looked like it came out of a catalog. Making the poor conditions of the other two rooms that much worse to tolerate.

Clean, location comfortable.

Bathroom was really small and old.

Well loved location, the man at the counter was very friendly and polite. Room was clean and comfortable. Halls to rooms were only accessible by keycard which was nice. (Also very friendly cat family roams the property outside and greet you :) )

The outside of the property could use some maintenance. Would love to see the pool back up and running. Not much to complain about really

Location was good ; owner was friendly; facility was clean; good value for money

No hair dryer in room; the blinds were so cheaply constructed that when I went to draw them, they fell down.

The staff was very polite and helpful. Showed us to our room, Showed us how to use the locks and key cards. Gave us a quick tour as well.

Nothing . 100% satisfied. Will definitely stay again.

The shower head didn’t move very much.

overall it was good, the beds were plenty comfortable, the room seemed clean, the staff was nice, location was nice, the value was good

my only real complaint is about the shower, the controls were kind of finnicky, and the temperature wouldn't stay consistent
