Kimpton La Peer West Hollywood

The staff are the highlight of the hotel. All were extremely welcoming and friendly. They exceeded expectations on valet, dining, and accommodating some unique requests.

The cleanliness of the elevators, hallways, and rooms could use some improvement considering the star level and pricing.

The location is great. Several resturants in easy walking distance. The West Hollywood lap pool is a couple of blocks away. The Beverley Center is within walking distance.

Location

Hot water took more than 5 minutes to come up- in the middle of a severe drought. No instructions or directory in room for anything- for example, the clock was impossible to figure out and had the wrong time throughout the stay. The room patio was filth

The location is really amazing, both for getting around the city by car, and even in a city where no one walks, for walking.

The room I was in, 435, on the top floor suffered from proximity to the generators or machinery on the roof. At points things in the room rattled, and it often felt like I was in the engine room of a boat feeling the vibrations all around me.

- We waited a full forty minutes for the room when we arrived at 3PM and still did not get the room I reserved. -The clock in the room is a total puzzle to set or use. It showed the wrong time and I couldn't fix it; nether could the "engineering" staff.

Great location, amazing staff., beautiful room and lounge area.

We didn't like the tiny pool with limited lounges or the automatic 20% gratuity at the bar. The front desk is kind of scuffed up. The half glass shower door was cool looking but it was cold taking a shower. This is a 4 1/2 star at best.

I had the worst experIence at the Kimpton La Peer. There was a mix up with the room & I was told I was without a room due (on my birthday-and after traveling 2 hrs to get there) nor would I get a refund. Spent next 2 hrs looking for another place to stay.

Location and staff.

Staff was very nice. But the rooms and overall hotel was over priced for a 5 star hotel. At best it was a 3+-4 star. Nothing special...Rooms were small and ordinary, no amenities no view, no room service, bad plumbing.

Great location and beautiful grounds.

They allow all locals at their very small pool and have a Dj going. There's smoking and no room- it felt like a horrible mtv show. There was nowhere at the pool to lounge and the noice was incredibly loud past midnight.

We loved this hotel!

The $49 valet fee and resort fee they charge. I get a fee to park but $49 is excessive. And the resort fee, this shouldn't be a fee at all.
