About

Experience Sonoma’s first luxury resort on a working vineyard. Embraced by a 92-acre estate, Vinarosa is an intimate hideaway set amid redwood trees, colorful gardens, and fountain courtyards. Your Vinarosa escape comes to life with heartfelt service from our long-tenured team, dedicated to creating treasured moments in every stay. What is now Vinarosa Resort & Spa began long before its next chapter in Wine Country luxury. Set among rolling vineyards in Sonoma County, the land once flourished as a prune orchard before evolving into one of the region’s most beloved hospitality destinations. Over the decades, it became home to pioneering culinary experiences, celebrated vineyard traditions, and meaningful moments shared among guests and locals alike. Today, traces of that rich history remain woven throughout the property, from vineyard views and estate grounds to the enduring spirit of hospitality that continues to shape the Vinarosa experience. Vinarosa Resort & Spa, in partnership with Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program, supports Farm to Pantry. The mission of Farm to Pantry is nourishing the local Sonoma County Community and healing the planet through the prevention of food waste. Through our community impact program, $1 per night will fund Farm to Pantry. 100% of funds are given to Farm to Pantry. Learn more about your travel dollars positively impacting the local community. Vinarosa Resort & Spa is proud to have been awarded the Environmentalist Level in the California Green Lodging Program by the State of California’s Department of General Services. Environmentalist Level hotels are required to have a written environmental policy in place and to meet all seven of the program’s sustainability criteria: waste minimization, reuse/recycling, energy efficiency, conservation and management, waste management, freshwater resource management, hazardous materials management, and environmentally and socially sensitive purchasing policies. In addition to this distinction, Vinarosa Resort & Spa has also been recognized with Three Green Keys from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, acknowledging our ongoing commitment to environmental leadership, sustainable operations, and continuous improvement in eco-friendly practices. Our green philosophy also includes amenities that our guests can enjoy, such as the walking path through the vineyards, along with the vegetable gardens and olive orchards that supply produce to our restaurants.

    Pros +

    • Large, clean , gorgeous outside and in.
    • The gardens and outdoor ambience are beautiful, but there are no views (the hotel is low on the ground) and there's an ugly power substation close by..... excellent hotel but the views are lacking.
    • Loved the room and grounds. Food was AMAZING! Staff was so helpful arranging hiking plans, wine tasting, and a very romantic weekend for my girlfriend's birthday! Would love to stay a few more days.

    Cons -

    • If there was one wish, that would be to have some bubble bath soap for the bathroom.
    • The rooms are old, dated, the light switches are yellowed plastic 1950s-style switches. The hotel pool was small even by Motel standards... and on top of everything else the calamari from the bar was spoiled and made us sick the entire evening.
    • Frustrated with difficulty of scheduling a couple's message. Disappointed that we never got it, but happy with everything else in the package/stay. Manager issued refund.

The person helping our waiter serving dinner wore strong cologne.

    Beautiful property, nice staff

The food could be better, a dry sauna for the spa would be a plus

    9MaryPosted on: 9-5-2025

The spa was very nice and massage was amazing. The room was super clean and modern with a beautiful view of the vineyards. The bar at the pool was not open which was a disappointment.

No bar service at pool, had to use the pool phone to order drinks and food. Food service at pool took a very long time.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Property was very quiet and peaceful. Restaurant on site was convenient. Enjoyed walking in the vineyard. The pool was also very nice. Happy it was very dog friendly.

Wish there could have been a cheaper restaurant option on site for breakfast and lunch.

Room was beautiful and so were the grounds. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

    All was great

Beautiful property and pool. Nicely greeted by the staff and lovely room with room of the vineyard.

On the morning of our departure, there was loud banging of doors starting at 8 AM below our room that went on for a couple of hours. It was awful!! They are still under construction here despite what they say.

Gorgeous, well-maintained property.Very clean and stylishly designed pool area with jacuzzi and cozy firepits.Spacious, newly renovated rooms with elegant finishesComplimentary drinks, including a small bottle of wine in the freezerPeaceful, upscale atmosphere that feels 5-star

    8WilanPosted on: 7-10-2025

Setting is beautiful, love the path through the vineyard, love the drinks (including half bottle of wine) included in the mini-bar, room was very comfortable; enjoyed visiting Kendall Jackson with "free" tasting and also Iron Horse Vineyards

used underwear sitting on our patio, we had to ask twice to get it removed; staff at check-in and check-out was okay but seemed to not know much about the area. John Ash is a beautiful setting with a nice menu but the food didn't quite live up to the setting and prices
