Pros +

  • Love the vintage vibe. Great staff and great location!
  • absolutely nothing, very-very overrated on all websites I checked out, you have got to be joking with me, this hotel is definitely not a 3 to 4 star rated hotel, at best it would be a 1 star
  • Nice decor, clean and comfy! The grounds were very cute and it was central to downtown.

Cons -

  • there was no phone, they had bottles of soap & shampoo, not individual packets or containers, which would be more sanitary, the neighbors on both side were noisy,
  • The breakfast could have had some more options.
  • Maybe just a little more warmth on the floors and information provided about the amenities

The unique nature of the motel that gives you things to talk about and reminisce about! Not a cookie cutter experience feels like you’re living the local vibe and in the middle of the fun arts area

Maybe just a little more warmth on the floors and information provided about the amenities

Cute and fun atmosphere, unique design, comfortable room, very friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful outdoor garden/patio area. Everything was clean and functional. A cat came and visited my partner and I while we were eating breakfast outside in their outdoor hangout area. I don’t know if this was the hotel cat or not but I appreciated the visit.

The included breakfast was only granola, yogurt, and some fresh fruit, which were all very good but I didn’t expect it to be so limited. Not necessarily a fault but the only thing that didn’t live up to my expectations. Not the most filling breakfast, so next time I would plan for that.

The room and grounds were very clean. The place is older so the walls are thin, but things were quite after 11. Great location for central Santa Rosa. Worked well for what we needed.

Not alot of breakfast options

The room was very clean, and the decor was very unusual and fun.

I don't think there was a handrail in the tub/shower. Though the bathtub mat was helpful

Love the stone statues in the very cool courtyard. The coffee and breakfast offerings in the morning are nice. The furnishings are unique and the artwork was a nice touch.

Staff was excellent. Arrived at 9pm and front desk staff offered to help us carry bags to the room. Being with baby, that was welcome help. I then asked Matt for a pack and play for the baby to sleep in, and he promptly fetched it. Tried to tip him, and he refused to accept.Continental breakfast was nice too. The hotel is right by a very nice park, and a block from beautiful gardens and a few more from the city center.

We were in town for the Marathon, and it was really easy to walk to the start/finish line! We were also able to walk to dinner the night before. The room was clean with a comfortable bed & a coffee maker.

We never saw housekeeping, but we were easily able to fetch some fresh towels from the front desk staff.

The bed was comfortable.

There was a big crack in the concrete floor in our room. We could see where the previous floor covering had been removed. Not very attractive. Given that we thought it was overpriced.

The location was convenient. It is located right across the street from a breakfast place, which was good because the Astro failed to set up breakfast.

The Astro is a cute concept but falls dismally short of meeting expectations. The rate includes a continental breakfast. However, on the morning of our stay, no breakfast was set up and the breakfast room was locked up like Fort Knox. There was a contact number posted on the door of the reception area. I called it to ask about breakfast. No answer and the call was not returned for several hours. The Front Desk attendant agreed that we deserved a credit, however, the Manager never posted it to our credit card. The Front Desk provided her direct e-mail but she never responded to my e-mail. The rooms are meagerly furnished: no coffee maker (which is handy when they don't provide breakfast), no microwave. Nice vibe if you like a sparse room with abundantly cracked concrete floors. There are far better boutique hotels in Santa Rosa than the Astro.

This was a perfect place to stay while visiting Santa Rosa, Napa, and the surrounding area. The breakfast was simple, but of the best quality & all local - yogurt, granola, donuts one day, fruit, etc. The staff was super friendly, and the rooms were very comfortable. We loved the community room that was open during the day with board games & comfy seating for our group to hang out somewhere other than in our rooms. There are cute seating areas outside on the property as well. Such a well thought out space for travelers! We highly recommended The Astro!

Great staff, super friendly and welcoming while also professional. Also love all of the mid-century touches. Nice breakfast as well. It was all we hoped for and more!

Location met our needs except there was absolutely nowhere to park when we arrived late. Room was fine but pricey for a basic room. Yogurt and granola breakfast was just okay.

Not enough parking spots.

Nice and friendly Great place for middle in Santa Rosa

Clean and friendly people

Clean, friendly staff

Parking needs to be better. Had to park on a dark street since the lots were full

It was Palm Springs in Santa Rosa!! From the friendly office managers, incredible garden with fruit trees, lavender, sculptures, tables to appreciate the garden in… to our lovely, spacious, arty bedroom !! It had everything and was great ! I reallyLiked the art, wood bed post, ball hanger! Breakfast was wonderful! Best way to start our bike ride in the wine country! Great coffee and granola.

I’d probably switch out the comforter for something lighter in the hot summer… encourage window opening instead of noisy air conditioner…needs body lotion.

Great decor and landscaping, cozy outdoor spaces for hanging out, nice breakfast , bike storage and friendly staff! The hotel is near a park and a lovely bike trail and right across the street from the historic Luther Burbank gardens.

Nothing we didn’t like
