Hotel was charming and quiet; staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel offers free parking, internet and is pet friendly with notice. The room was clean with comfy beds, mini fridge and microwave. Close to downtown shops, restaurants and reasonably priced.

It's location

They're not upfront about costs when it comes to pets. It's not listed anywhere. And rules regarding pets is included in fine print after you book with them in the confirmation email. The lack of transparency really put a damper on a trip.

How clean the room was

The view from our room was a bunch of trash and discarded couches . The hotel mentioned they had breakfast but it was only coffee. With all the construction going on and the hotel rate should not have been $--- on a Tuesday.

It was nice and quiet, or the surrounding area around the hotel was. Even w/ some of the construction going on I barely noticed it. Front desk was really friendly too. I liked the overall quaint and cute feel the hotel had to it. I'd make a future return!

I maybe had a couple bugs come in during my stay like a gnat or little crawly something. Not the end of the world though. Overall no issues with my stay at the Hummingbird!

Beautiful and Historical, incredible staff and very friendly. We loved the location and proximity to downtown, Full amenities and pool. We love the ambiance in the lobby and views from our room. PHEMONEMAL LOCATION AND HIFHLY REMOND

The plumbing is a little odd

The location is very good and the price is what you would expect.

There was such a problem with the "no contact" aspect of the hotel. They keys where they were suppose to be but they did not work. Another guest saw me having trouble getting into the room and he said he had the same problem. Happen 3 times. Awful.

Clean an quaint; staff very informative and friendly during Covid.

It is an old motel but clean; thin walls so I heard the family of 6 next to me until they went sleep.

Wonderful staff and large room.

Swimming pool was too cool for older folks, like us. Bath tub could be improved.

The entire staff was very accommodating and hospitable. Hotel employee and a third young lady that worked in the mornings, and the gentleman manager were all very, very nice. After a series of unfortunate events, we were refunded one of our three nights.

The hotel is undergoing maintenance that was disruptive to say the least; water was shut off 2 days in a row, one day for 5.5 hours. Floors are warped, springy, and 'clackety'. Room was tidy, yet not clean. The antithesis of a 'quiet, mountain getaway'.

Arrived and had to wait 45 mins for someone to check us in. One room had bugs. Other was so hot, air didn't work. We think there was a slab leak as the floor was boiling hot. Tried to find someone could not. Called it was an answering machine.

A call back. When checking our next morning again no one in lobby had to wait. Told them what had happened and nothing!! Not even a I'm sorry! Worst hotel/ motel ever! Can't believe you or any site would offer this hotel listing!!

Staff,location,cleanliness, comfortable rooms and quiet atmosphere! I was working in the area temporarily and it made a perfect stay away from home!

Hotel( actually a motel) has a nice feel about it. Friendly stuff, convenient location, quiet, clean. Rooms cleaned every day, beds fixed. Really cute/stylish lobby. Free parking.

No telephone in the room, if you need extra towels,a hair dryer have to go to a front desk yourself, which is not a problem, it's only 2 story motel. Also no coffee maker in the room, but a good coffee in the lobby and a good choices of a hot tea bags.

The location of the hotel was great - a quick ride to all the great things in Ojai.

The pool is not heated, there is no hot tub, and staff is not available after 10PM.

The room was nice enough, beds were comfy. I'd give it a B- overall.

Hot water in the shower was hit & miss.

The Hummingbird Inn has a nice clean look and feel. The staff is friendly and they provide bikes to ride around town and on the trail.

Charming, close to restaurants and shops, if your staying there with friends or family all the of rooms are relatively close to one another. The rooms were larger and relatively upgraded.

The bathrooms were old, we had issues with the water going from hot to cold unexpectedly. The continental breakfast was terrible! Even the coffee was bad.

Close proximity.

We really enjoyed our time in Ojai. Our hotel experience was part of that.
