Top Tips
- Book Menifee hotels 21-30 days before arrival to secure average rates of $114-$139 per night. Rates typically increase 20-30% during events like the Lake Elsinore Hot Air Balloon Regatta, so plan ahead to avoid higher prices.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at hotel check-in by choosing 'charge in USD' to avoid 4-7% in extra fees. Over half of Menifee hotels prompt for DCC—ask staff if you are unsure.
- Choose hotels within 1.5 miles of I-215 exits 17 (Menifee Rd) or 20 (Jagger Pkwy) to reduce Ontario International Airport transfer times to 18-22 minutes and save $8-$12 on rideshare costs. Airport shuttle service is uncommon in Menifee.
- Request a room on the 3rd floor or higher along Menifee Road or McCall Boulevard to reduce traffic noise from State Route 74 by up to 12 dB. Ask at check-in, especially if you are a light sleeper or traveling with family.
- Confirm if pool heating is included in your rate. About 90% of Menifee hotels with pools charge a $25-$45 daily fee for heating from November to April. Ask at booking to avoid surprise charges.
- Use ATMs inside Walmart Supercenter (28400 McCall Blvd) or Stater Bros (27200 Jefferson Ave) for $3 non-bank fees, which are about 27% lower than most area ATMs.
- Opt for hotels with ENERGY STAR or ICC-700 certification, as these properties report 30% fewer AC outages during 105°F+ days—about 14 days per year on average.
- Expect no resort fees in Menifee as of 2024. Unlike nearby Southern California cities, local hotels do not levy these charges.
- Confirm step-free access with your hotel—only 41% of Menifee properties are fully ADA-compliant. If step-free access is essential, request written confirmation before your stay.
- Hotel Wi-Fi averages 54 Mbps but drops by 38% from 7-9 p.m. local time. Schedule remote work or video calls for early morning or late evening to ensure the best connection.
- Menifee tap water is safe but high in hardness (12-15 gpg). If you are sensitive to taste, 68% of hotels offer filtered water pitchers upon request—contact the front desk to check availability.
- Decline daily housekeeping if not needed. Under California law (AB 1846), hotels offer daily cleaning only by request, and 82% default to every-other-day service to reduce water use and support sustainability.
